Since moving back to Jasper, I've eaten at Garfield's with my fiance several times. At first I was a little hesitant due to the condition of the outside of the Jasper Mall. I was afraid that this was a restaurant on the way out. I couldn't have been more wrong! The food is good, always fresh(watch out for anything fried, it's straight out of the fryer like it should be) and service is so friendly. Items we've gotten include the combo platter, the chicken finger dinner, several of the burgers and several of the sandwiches. All were great! The staff is helpful and friendly. Sometimes it takes a little time to get your order, but nothing outrageous and it's probably due to everything being cooked fresh. I've not gotten anything that tasted like it sat under a heat lamp.

Our table waited 3 hours. Our appetizers were never put in, many of us didn't get our food when we were supposed to get it, my good order was not only incorrect but also cooked wrong and cold. (Steak was over cooked to medium when I asked for rare, the grilled shrimp skewer was ice cold and tasted like it had nothing but garlic salt on it and looked like it was just pre-cooked shrimp that got thawed out and put on a stick- not even the attempt for the slightest char to actually grill it, and instead of sautéed mushrooms being put in- the waitress put in for a fried mushroom appetizer. I asked multiple times (patiently) where the appetizers were while watching everyone else in the restaurant seated after us getting their orders. So I asked the waitress to cancel out appetizers because there was no sense in getting appetizers at the same time as our food. So they got canceled but because she put the mushrooms in as the wrong thing- I didn't get my side of them. My entire order had to be made all over again. The shrimp came out exactly the same but slightly warm, steak was cooked right finally but had no flavor to it, and instead of giving me a premium side of sautéed mushrooms like I ordered I received a steak topper portion instead. I was absolutely unimpressed. I waited so long for my food after everyone else finally got their food and had already ate and I had to scarf my food down because after 3hrs... we're ready to go and to make it worse because it was still wrong.... my food didn't even taste good. And we were celebrating my son's 7th birthday today. With such terrible service, food being wrong to an obscene degree, food being late, food not being put in, drinks being empty for way too long, etc.... the least we could recieve after all that and being there for 3 hours was 1 or 2 waitresses singing happy birthday to him. But they couldn't even do that. So we sang happy birthday instead. This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in this restaurant and I have been coming here for years growing up in the mall celebrating friends, family, and even my own birthday. The original Mama Liz needs to come out of retirement and take her restaurant back, this would have never flown past her. The food used to be made right each time, speedy service and it was actually hospitable back in the day. I hate to leave such a horrible review but I have no choice. With such a horrible experience I feel like I shouldn't of had to pay for my meal. It was to the point I only ate it not because it was right but because I was absolutely starving. After nearly 27 years of being a loyal customer- I will never ever come back. I have never sent food back before, I have never not left a tip before of $10 or better (today it sickened me to leave $0 as a tip)... I have never been put in this type of position. I do not see an excuse for our experience and I have plenty of restaurant+ customer service experience. Do better by your customers because it also appears based off other reviews... we are not the only ones this has happened to here and many of these reviews are recent. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I'm embarrassed to even have to leave such a bad review. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Garfield’s restaurant & pub in Jasper Alabama is worth checking out. We come here to the Jasper area a few times a year while visiting family and always try to visit Garfield’s at least once on every trip. The food is good, the staff is great, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are big. As I understand it, they used to have a number of locations around , and this is the last one. I know it’s been here for in excess of 30 years, and hopefully will be around for many more to come. Melissa is a great server and

makes an awesome Bahama Mama. This trip we grabbed an Ultimate Nacho appetizer, The Rings, Wings and Things appetizer and a lunch portion of Beef Tips over mash. All excellent. I’ve had the Ribeye and Chicken Alfredo before and zero complaints on them. I also love the Americana theme of the place. Highly recommended. Located in the old Jasper Mall on Highway 78 in Jasper Alabama.

The food was great. My wife and I ordered a Hawaiian burger and a traditional cheeseburger. The server was friendly and the food came out after a reasonable amount of time. The prices weren’t bad. I will be back if I am in Jasper again.

There are probably only 3–4 people in here every time I come. Compared to somewhere like Texas Roadhouse, they’re ten times more packed and still get the food out ten times faster. It’s honestly ridiculous how long this place takes, considering there’s barely anyone here. If you don’t like waiting a long time for food that isn’t even that good, I wouldn’t come to this location.

I ordered a meal with appitizer. The meal was Burbon chicken. Which was way to salty and even worse more like the sole of a shoe when it comes tenderness. The cesar salad, more like vineger instead of cesar dressing. I spent 50 dollars on this. NOT EVEN WORTH recommending to others. Enough said

been going for years and always a pleasure. great food, good service, great atmosphere. the Mac n chz grilled chicken is sooooo good. and my my girl loves the chicken quesadilla salad.

Sundays are usually very busy, even so much so that just ordering appetizers once they didn't bring it out until I was almost late clocking in and I had an hour lunch, but through the week it's a great place to satisfy all the food and Drink people..

Extremely Long wait times 1hr+ on just appetizers . This is our second time coming here there is only 4 family’s in the whole restaurant I figured we’d give it a second chance but unless you have a full day to wait I wouldn’t suggest it . With a restaurant barely occupied it shouldn’t take this long.
