Disappointed 1st time visitor who normally loves greasy spoon mom-n-pop local places, esp after seeing many cars there for lunch. My $15 "steak & cheese" (+tea) felt no different than a $4 prepackaged sandwich I could get at the Gateway on the way home. Stale bread crumbling, hardly a grilled feel to the minimal meat (couldn't even discern the onions), and weak watery condiments plus a limp pickle. The only silver lining was I liked the cool authenticity and friendliness of the clock-tatted lady. Place has ample parking and seating, does to-go, and a down home feel to it, but at the end of the day it's about the food, which sucked.

A great hole in the wall place. Sandwiches hot or cold chips and fountain drinks.The Reuben was fresh off of the grill and perfectly balanced, there wasn't to much sauerkraut or thousand Island.Great sandwich shop!
If you want the freshest sub you can sink your teeth into this is the place! The food is fresh, the buns are fresh, and the service is impeccable! If I lived closer I'd eat here at least 3 times a week. Always service with a smile.
