This small-town brewery is the kind of place you hope to find but rarely do—laid-back, welcoming, and full of character.
The beer lineup is solid: the golden ale is clean and easy-drinking, the porter smooth and roasty, and the sours hit just the right tart notes without going overboard. Nothing flashy—just well-crafted, satisfying brews. We arrived outside their limited grill hours, but they’re totally fine with guests bringing in outside food, which is a nice touch.
The space has that perfect barndominium charm—roofing tin, reclaimed lumber, and exposed brick that give it a rustic, warm feel without trying too hard.
And then there’s Kevin. He’s not a beer geek, just a down-to-earth, genuinely friendly guy who clearly cares about the place and the people in it. When things slowed down, he pulled up a chair and chatted with us like we were old friends. No rush, no fuss—just good conversation and true Southern hospitality.
If you’re nearby, go. If you’re not, it’s worth the detour.

Went and ate here for the first time a few nights ago. The atmosphere was great, the staff was super nice but the food wasn't it. The steak sandwich def didn't taste like 16 bucks worth. Also, the parm wedges were horrible. I couldn't even stomach eating them. It honestly tasted like they were microwaved or something.

I really want this place to change and be good. We need good places in Jasper. Maybe they will experience a wake up call. Food took forever and was cold. Beer has always been ok, but not great. Maybe start serving beer from other places? I do like this place, I just want them To wake up and take this seriously. Change the Jasper culture, don’t be satisfied with just meeting Jasper standards. Server was great 👍

Waited over an hour and a half for an average burger. Place is almost empty too, what am I even waiting for? I guess the waitress to get over her attitude? Wouldn’t recommend

If you want to try this place, I recommend you go soon. They won’t be in business much longer. I tried 2 “beers”. The red ale tasted like a bad hard cider and the Vienna lager tasted like an IPA. Only one other couple in the place, but the food took a while. The cook was probably salting and resalting and resalting the burgers to just about to the point of being inedible. Buy some ketchup bottles! Nobody likes opening pack after pack of ketchup for their burgers and fries.Also better quality napkins. I bet I had to use 2 dozen of the small cheap ones in the dispenser.

The wait was long, however this was worth the wait and experience. Steak was 9.5/10, Boom Boom Shrimp 9/10, Cheesecake 10/10. These were top tier selections really good price. Overall it was great !
I'm from England, but every time I visit family in Townley I always use Tallilahs, great bar, very friendly staff and customers. The drinks are great, and the food is superb. Look forward to seeing everyone on my next visit.
