Everything about this place is a yes. The wings were perfectly cooked and I heard the potato soup was amazing! They have indoor/outdoor dining and live music. It's right on the lake and there is a lighthouse! Definitely recommend.

We camp at West Point a LOT and it's always bothered us that there's not more restaurants! So glad to see someone FINALLY doing good food and a great atmosphere in this space! The atmosphere was great (they had a local singer playing), our waitress Kim was excellent, great drink menu and I know that the food menu is limited right now but everything we had was really good! Don't expect fine dining, just good ol lake food and a cool play to hangout!

The Blue goat was referred to me by a co-worker. It was awesome! During my visit I was fortunate to meet the operators of this fine establishment, and they are some amazing people!! What makes it even better is the location, good food gets even better when looking out over the water. I will definitely be returning in the future!!

I had heard so much about this place from a co-worker that I drove from Newnan to see what the buzz was all about. The first thing that got my attention was our waitress Cha Cha. She is full of positive energy. But then, we met her husband, the one who cooks the food, all I can say is Hilarious! This couple makes this place feel like home!! We ordered fried pickles...yum! The cheese curds...yum, yum!! Then we ordered the bbq bacon burger....yum, yum, yum!!! We enjoyed the food, atmosphere and the service. Can't wait to go again in the evening to enjoy the live entertainment! 5 stars?HELL YES

So happy to have a restaurant on the lake again!!As of this review, the kitchen is still being finished, so they have a somewhat limited menu. But they cover the basics, and everything I’ve tried has been very good.Do please be patient, as there may be a wait if a lot of customers happen to arrive at the same time. But the staff are working hard and are very friendly. It’s worth the wait! Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the view with a nice drink.

My review is more for the great guy who delivered our food. As a new restaurant, I know lots of tweaks so don't think fair to give a review on anything else. First you had to go one place to order food and another to order alcohol with both lines being very long. They bring food out, but any refills you have to go back in. The couple with me never got their food and the guy finally asked did you not order? He did a great job of taking care of it and getting their food. I asked him if they split tips(he was the only one running, girl just stood behind table and took order) he said actually he was a volunteer because it was his parents place. I'm not sure why he was not inside taking the orders and the actual person I tipped not running the food, but he did a great job and I actually made sure I went back and left tip for him! I will go back after they have worked out the kinks so I can give a review on everything else. Also shout out to Junior who was singing on the deck, but he always does a great job!!!

Totally pleasant experience today for lunch. We didn't have to wait terribly long, the food was fresh and very tasty, and our server Faith was a doll. Give them a chance and appreciate how hard they're working to provide a lake restaurant. Pictured are: cheeseburger (homemade) grilled chicken tenders (such great flavor), and a scoop of chocolate ice cream that was thoroughly enjoyed.

A few days ago, I had a chance to visit The Blue Goat, located at the Southern Harbor Marina. I was thrilled to try this new restaurant, considering that the number of lakefront restaurants with boat access at West Point Lake is minimal to non-existent. If arriving by boat, head left towards the docks by the marina store. That’s the designated restaurant boat parking. The restaurant is the epitome of lake casual, and nicely appointed. Great, open deck, with mostly outdoor seating and some deck games. The menu consists of tried and true grill items, like nachos, burgers, chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders. Nothing fancy, but perfect for the location and target audience. They also have a selection of alcoholic beverages including beer from local brewery, Wild Leap. A big thumbs up to that. The restaurant also has a small store selling cool, southern and lake inspired merchandise. Overall, this is a welcome addition to the area, which will make our days at the lake much more enjoyable, knowing that there’s a place to enjoy a bite to eat and some drinks right on the water. I wish them great success!
