Merl's Diner provides a good experience with great service, even with large groups. The food is excellent, with popular dishes like the buffet plate, fried chicken, cornbread casserole, and desserts like peach cobbler and red velvet cake. The restaurant has a kids menu and is wheelchair accessible with a ramp and manageable space inside. The atmosphere could be improved, but the staff is friendly, and the food quality justifies the price. Merl's Diner is a great little mom and pop restaurant with good food and fair prices. Customers travel to the area just to go to Merl's. The one piece whole catfish meal is a finest whole catfish meal you can get, with crinkle cut and piping hot fries, fluffy and crispy hush puppies, and creamy delicious slaw. Parking can be tight, but you can park across the street.
