Not the place it used to br back in 1970s when it started during the Hippi era, and local towns people met at the bar for afternoon drinks and pool playing. Nowadays, college students go to the Brass Monkey and have no idea its name and founding, its just the only bar in this university town for folks to meet socially and get drunk.

Stopped by Brass Monkey at 5:30 pm based on their posted hours, but staff informed me they'd be opening in about 30 minutes. Disappointing to find inconsistency between posted hours and actual opening time. Maybe worth calling ahead to confirm???

Don’t shoot the messenger. Ordered a dozen wings and offered to pay for all flats but they said they couldn’t do it it would mess up the next person who would order wings and they came out with two flats outta dozen for those of you who don’t know a dozen is 12 so 2 outta 12 wings
Very nice atmosphere, no fighting music just people dancing and enjoying good music. Pool table stays full when the building is full. Nice mix of great music thats upbeat.
