To many different cooks has made this business with a low view salty food burnt grease when cooking the fried food ! I will certainly rate the chicken shack rate of 50 percent they really need to step up bc Jack's chicken is much better all day long! The chicken shack has gone down real talk

this place has some of the greatest fried chicken. The kicking chicken sandwich was delicious. We visited on a Sunday and the parking lot was full, found a place to park, went and was seated instantly and waited on quickly and served in no time at all. Great service and food. 2/1/26 Made another visit today, got the chicken and waffles, these were awesome.
Great fried chicken at a reasonable price. It can get very busy, so please be patient. After ordering the food came out fast. Getting a table may cause a short wait, but it’s worth it.

Great diner experience. Waitress was friendly and service was fast. I had fried chicken, lima beans and cream corn. All were very tasty. Roll and hush puppy were ok. Value for your money is excellent. All prices were very reasonable. Sweet tea was excellent!

Such a nice stop. Looks like a local place that is visited a lot. There are great choices for food and it can be hard to pick one item. We were there for dinner and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and right on a main road in town.

On my way home to Tennessee from a very long and disappointing trip to Florida, I spotted this little jewel of a place with the most friendly young ladies operating it. Folks! Let me tell ya! If this place was in Nashville, I would eat there a LOT!!! I can say with certainty, that it is possibly the best fried chicken I have ever eaten, and I have eaten a lot in my 67 years, as well cooked an abundance of it. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. Juicy inside, crispy outside, flavored all the way through! I will definitely stop again when in the area! I love Alabama!
