Champy's Famous Fried Chicken

Hair in my food. That made me hate the place. First time trying the food. I don’t have hair so it’s not mine nor my husband’s. I lost my hair due to medical reasons. The food was awesome- except now I hate it due to the hair in my food. It’s long corse black wavy hair have pictures to prove it. Hubby surprised me with the food for dinner tonight now I can’t eat it. And money was wasted. It’s gross 🤮 hair in food is disgusting.

Good chicken, nothing too fancy. The buffalo sauce is a bit overpowering, and that's coming from someone who loves buffalo sauce--it's just VERY vinagery. The chicken livers are my favorite thing on the menu.

As good as Momma's! Our favorite place for chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy. Soooo good. Nice night on patio and service was excellent!

Great food!

My wife and I love Champy’s. Everything we get there is always really good! I’m a gizzard fan and their gizzard plate has a generous amount of them.

Champy's is a fun and unique place to eat and the food is excellent. The only entree is ... you guessed it ... fried chicken (except for one fried catfish that I saw on the menu). But that chicken is oh, so good and their sides are divine.

The building and decor are set up to look like an old metal barn with distressed/reclaimed wood. It is fun and cozy.

If you like fried chicken, then definitely try Champy's! We have been twice and it was excellent both times. If you have time, choose to dine in (for the fun atmosphere). Enjoy!

Music was a little loud. Service was friendly we did have a few empty drinks. I had a three piece dark meat plate. It was great. Had the green beans, not as great. Potato salad was good.

Champy's is our Friday night destination primarily because of Maddi, Brandie, Olivia, Taylor, Yoli and Bethany! They treat us like family and our gang loves them! ❤️ Occasionally, Eugene stops by to chat as well! It is our neighborhood watering hole. They know our orders before we open our mouths and start drawing up the beer on tap when they see us walk in the bar. It is sort of like the sitcom "Cheers" only way better! Food. Fellowship. Fun. Family.

This is the best fried chicken spot, and I don’t say that lightly! I consider myself a fried chicken connoisseur, and this place truly nailed it. The perfect balance of crispiness, seasoning, and it doesn’t feel heavy at all when you’re done. Absolute perfection!

The chicken was delicious, perfectly seasoned, the coleslaw was very delicious and the mashed potatoes were the same. The service was the best 10/10. Our girl was very friendly.

Service was acceptable, but not great. Folks at the table needed to ask twice for certain items. The place is not clean - debris on the floor and overall the place was not well cared for. Case in point is the outdoor patio which is supported by metal girders, all of which are in need of corrosion control and a new paint job as there is rust everywhere. I would've left after walking in, but was meeting a bunch of friends. The grilled chicken tenders are bland and dry, the fries were soggy, and the green beans were well over-cooked and bland. There is nothing pulling me back to this place for a repeat visit. With only 8 locations (according to the Google search) one would figure the owners, Seth and Crissy Champion, would be all over the quality of the food, restaurant condition, and service, but apparently they are not. I would fully expect this Huntsville / Madison location to go out of business soon.

Very nice place to go in and get some of the best wings in town. And oh my goodness those deviled eggs are delicious. The hush puppies has got a little kick to him but they are very good.

Waitress was very attentive and the grilled chicken salad was delicious ?. I always come here when I'm in town!
