I had an extremely upsetting and discriminatory experience at Crickets Burger & Wings.
I was told to leave because of my service animal, simply because he is a small Yorkie and “doesn’t look like one.” The owner laughed at both me and my dog and said, “That’s not a therapy dog.” She then called her husband to the store, and between the two of them, I was asked for “papers” and questioned about what is wrong with me, both of which are illegal under the ADA.
To make matters worse, they waited until AFTER I ordered and was waiting for my food to confront me. Only then did they decide to question my disability and tell me I needed to leave.

We finally made it to Cricket's in Madison, and it was an absolute home run! If you are searching for the best wings in the area, look no further. The service was outstanding; the staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, even though the place was packed. The atmosphere is wonderful it is a cozy, unpretentious local gem where you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The location on Sullivan St is very convenient, and we had no trouble finding parking. We will definitely be back; it is the perfect spot for a delicious meal in a great environment!

My fave wings place in Madison! Been solid and dependable for 20ish years.
I arrived at Crickets wings at 1:40 pm and was refused service. They close at 2pm and reopen at 5pm. I drove 30 minutes to get there and was informed of the 2pm closing. There is a VERY TINY printed label that said that they close the Kitchen at 1:45. I was still there early enough and refused. I will not go back. The internet states that the reopen at 5pm and i was there at 6pm and the place was closed on a Friday.

This WAS my go to for chicken wings for 5 years, particularly the hot wings. Had an experience in 2016 where I sat outside for over 30 minutes and no one waited on me. Waited on everyone else, just not me. Sorry y'all. We've got more in Huntsville now.

2020-I had a 10 piece wings, 5 jerk and 5 lemonpepper..... very good will ask for extra lemon pepper next time. Jerk was not what I expected, just dusting of some type of season, but nevertheless the wings are cooked well, texture good. Staff was excellent. I will be back to try more wings and the hamburger. JAN 2026- Got 8 pics lem- wings, fry combo, double cooked, xtra-wet. What i got was wings with extra oil(drenched) This is not the 1st or 2nd time this has happened to me here, lack of attentionto detail. This is why I'm posting this...won't get the lemon pepper again. Will take these back.
