We ordered carne asada tacos and the vegeterian combo. The carne asada tacos were bland and needed a lot of toppings to taste good. The quesadilla in the vegeterian combo was so salty it was inedible. The enchilada and burrito have a red sauce on them that tasted like pizza sauce. The sauce was very sweet and had absolutely no spice at all. The beans in the burrito were also bland.

I stopped here looking for something different. Here I found it. The service was excellent. The place was clean, and decorated nicely. I ordered the burrito that had, pork, chicken, mushrooms, and chorizo placed in sections. It reminded me of a dish called Los socials from Peppers in Shalimar FL. The pork section had the mole sauce covering it and it was very tasty - the back house there love cooking great food. This dish was excellent as each bite was different. Thank you for offering such a dish. The salsa picosa was spot one with some mole sauce blended in! Margaritas were nice.I do recommend the place.

Ordered delivery. One small bag of chips for an order of salsa and a large cheese dip. No fresh tomatoes that were an add on. Instructions were to deliver to back door. They came to the front. And phone number to call and rectify the order is just silent no answer, no busy signal and abruptly drops your calls. Expected better.

Nice atmosphere and the food was good, but their latest health inspection score of 73 (SEP 2023) is a no-go for me.

Good food and service, we tried vegetarian burrito, taco salad, chicken burrito, margarita and some sides. Everything was tasty and fresh. We really enjoyed the food and ambience.

I've dined at numerous Mexican restaurants, but this one stands out as our absolute favorite. It brings a comforting sense of nostalgia, taking me back to El Paso, TX, with its hole-in-the-wall charm. The establishment's commitment to using fresh ingredients and genuine concern for its patrons truly shines. I've frequented this place on multiple occasions, and without fail, they consistently exceed expectations. Like always exceeds expectations. On my recent birthday celebration, the restaurant went above and beyond to make the occasion special. The guacamole is a delightful treat, bursting with flavor, while the home made chips and salsa are a testament to their dedication to freshness and love for their patrons.Personally, I'm drawn to the Pollo Loco, a menu item that never disappoints. The homemade desserts are equally impressive. While not a Michelin 5-star establishment, it offers exceptional value without hurting your wallet. The ambiance exudes a rustic saloon vibe, characterized by warm wooden tones and soft lighting. The authentic music playing in the background enhances the experience. The staff consistently radiates a positive attitude, making a significant impact on the overall visit.Whether you're winding down after work or seeking solace on a rough day, dining here has a transformative effect on your mood.I wholeheartedly recommend supporting this local gem; it's undoubtedly a community favorite. This will forever be my comfort food.

Came in on a Sunday night for dinner. Not busy at all, but had to wait 30+ minutes for the food. While we were waiting, the server never came by to check in and get more chips or water. Then the food came and we didn't have silverware, so I asked for silverware. 5 minutes later she came back with more chips and water, and no silverware. Had to remind her again then finally got it probably 10 minutes after the food was on the table. Food was cold, had 0 taste and visually looked not good. Chicken had absolutely no flavor at all and was tough, rice was a very odd flavor. Server did not check in at all, had to stop her to ask for the bill. Got the bill and the price for one of the items which was a special this night was wrong, had to get her to fix that too.Overall, not an enjoyable experience and I definitely will not be coming back. There's tons of Mexican restaurants in Madison, skip this one.

Well I had not been to this restaurant located on Hwy 72 across from sports authority. We were pleasantly surprised. Cost was very low. Both had a small margarita, they had 4 sizes to choose from. I had the chili Colorado , boy I needed 2 glasses of water to put the fire out. Great taste but you must like spicey food to get through this meal. Wife had carne Asada plate, a d it was loaded. Was not served in a skillet as some restaurants do. Her plate came with a side of fried cactus, found it very unusual. They also has a hot chili pepper cut into quarters , fried, wrapped with the seeds still present. Yup it was hot. Eat what u can stand and eat around the peppers. All in all we had such a great experience! Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Ali our waiter was very helpful , kept asking us if we were alright. (We will come again, perhaps in a weekday for the luncheon Buffett )
