We went once and that was enough.
Staff was semi-attentive, they didn’t have some food items, and the pizza came out not fully cooked in the center.

Truly excellent Detroit-style pizza, best we've had in Madison. Good beer selection, friendly service.

I ordered the Alabama grilled chicken and onion rings as my side. I took 2 bites of my sandwich and it was very dry. I ate the onion rings which were only 7 or 8 and sent my sandwich back. I did not order anything else. I got my meal comped for 50%. So I Paid 10 dollars for 8 very thin onionrings.

The animal fries are OUTSTANDING!! We had beer can BRISKET sandwich and it was amazing. Brussel sprouts for appetizer, so good, but spicy. Nothing less than 5 Starz for Goodland Pourhouse. Wonderful ❤️

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND $80 FOR 2 HAMBURGERS AND 2 CHICKEN SANDWICHES (comes with Fries) 1 SALAD and ONLY 4 WATERS...that is the most expensive rip-off ever. Yeah food is good...just good, but NOT GREAT...NOTHING to write home about! Seating is NOT comfortable at all (cheap small chairs)...table was wobbly. The waiter was real nice tho. WOULD NEVER BE BACK. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE...I WOULD TELL THEM NOT TO GO THERE. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU LIKE TO GIVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AWAY...I could have went to Hardee's and got the same thing for $45 and drinks (pop/tea/lemonaide) are included. I need a refund....at least half of what I spent!!

If you're a beer drinker, just go for the beer; not my thing, personally. I went for the food. From that perspective is where this review is based. Starting with the appearance: this place exudes the hipster vibe. I would've mentioned gentrification if the surrounding neighbood wasn't affluent already.
Our appetizer was creative. The shrimp & grits hush puppies. Not enough seasoning nor sauce drizzled on top. It would've been better presented as a dunking sauce. Good, though.
Our entrees were the "Fish N'Chips" & "The Elwood" (Chicago-style Italian Beef). As for the fish, the beer batter didn't meet its moment of a crisp, crunchy, extior yet soft, warm breading. It almost tasted like a step was skipped in the kitchen. The "Captain D's" side of fries was really disappointing as well, especially at those prices.
As far as our Italian beef. It felt like a hard corner was cut using stewed beef. I prefer my Italian beef soggy from the Au Ju, not the sandwich itself. It shouldn't come served in a puddle before I even begin to dine.
Our waiter was adequate, and that's about it. No personality was applied, and you could tell that when it comes to employment, this wasn't his first choice. He was friendly all the same. So, no bad marks. As stated earlier, if beer is your thing, you'll find good company. However, if you value your dollar and want food to taste the like price, you paid for it, I would simply suggest getting the hush puppies to go.

My wife and I had the Beer Can Brisket Sandwich which was delicious and even better than I had expected. I marveled at how perfectly fried and tasty the fries were, golden brown and crispy. Enjoyed the Shandy beer too.

We went in a quiet Tuesday night so the service was great. Nice local pub with delicious food. We had the Notorious PIE, which was AMAZING! We’ll be back.

We usually come after church every week. The last 3 weeks, the pretzels have changed 3 times. This week, it was TERRIBLE!!!! I only ate the first bite and my husband ate about 1/2 of his (we each were served 4 small ones in all). Minutes after 12:00pm, we sat at a dirty table. There were pieces of food on it. We HAD to clean it. Terrible terrible terrible and we won’t be back.

I’ve been wanting to go here for awhile because I saw it on Instagram and it looked so good! We went and ordered the pepperoni pizza, pesto cheese sticks, and my husband got a burger. It was all phenomenal! That’s I think my favorite pizza I’ve ever had and we had a great time there. We also had the chocolate mousse dessert and it was divine! The staff was nice and we’re definitely planning to go back- I know I’m going to be craving that pizza a lot in the future!
