We stopped in for a tasting on Christmas Eve and had an absolutely AMAZING time! The rums are absolutely delicious and very complex, and Luis gave us a very entertaining and thoughtful overview of the distillery and the different spirits. At the end, Maria made the most delicious cocktails. If you live in the area or visiting (like we were), I highly encourage you the check this place out. Certainly felt like we were part or the family by the end of it!!
(Also it’s worth mentioning- this place has the best outdoor emergency lighting in the entire state of Alabama!)

I take my hat off to both of them for fighting for their passion and their dreams. I wish that I could only contribute to help flourish, their dream, business, and passion! I have to say their rum made there at their distillery is very rich, well-made cared for and served. It is a place where I can say easy to give five stars. They are in the beginning stages. I cannot wait until their five year mark they will flourish. I know this!

Our visit to Guajana Rum was absolutely fantastic. Marilu gave us an amazing tour of the facilities, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. We learned so much about their craft and the care that goes into making their gin, vodka, and four unique types of rum.
The tasting experience was top-notch. We got to try several of their creations, including a refreshing guava mojito and a perfectly balanced Moscow mule, along with other delicious beverages that really showcased their spirits’ smoothness and flavor.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and you can tell everyone there takes great pride in their work. Whether you’re a rum lover, a gin enthusiast, or just someone who appreciates quality local spirits, Guajana Rum is a place you don’t want to miss. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Took the tour with the owner who was great and we loved everything we tasted. Recommend the 86 proof and the 108, but there were no duds in the whole lineup.
A real gem was the gin, which I typically don't go for. It was interesting and complex without being overbearing.
Even if you don't enjoy rum, suggest you check it out. You may be surprised.
