Fish and chip special was great. Sweet tea is sweet. The service was spectacular Sadie was excellent. Only draw back and it’s a personal preference is they have skinny fries.

Wonderful decor, service and the food . . . Fantastic! Prime rib was so tender, lemon & reggiano broccoli delicious, and the chocolate cake and key lime pie were the best!- - - - -Went back again this year (3/2024). Ended up with the same meal plus the beet special. All the sides and desserts were wonderful (potatoes, brocolli, and beets), but the prime rib had very large sections of fat, was not very warm, but it tasted good.

Atmosphere and service were good.It is not a critical problem, but I think it is enough to share: Coming in from bright outside I could barely see where I was going and felt uncomfortable walking around. Even after dinner I could not see well to confidently walk to the restroom.

J. Alexander's is definitely one of the best dinning experiences in Huntsville. The staff is the best in the city. Attentive, polite, expeditious and did I mention always polite. Menu is limited so I recommend whatever the Chef's Special is for the day but the regular menu items are awsome as well. Atmosphere is great for any occasion. Casual dinner and/or drinks at the bar or something more intimate in the private areas to the left and right. One of two places in the city I always recommend to vistors!
