It doesn’t have a sign, and the restaurant barely looks open. You know why? Because it doesn’t need to. They’ve already built a loyal clientele, and the food speaks for itself. According to the owner, they’ve been in business for 16 years—8 of them at this location!
What took me to long to find this place ! Definitely will be back … I got the ribs, pulled pork, potato salad and mac - everything hits the spot!
I honestly didn't know this place existed before yesterday. We love BBQ and try every place possible. I had the pulled pork, wife had the chicken. It was great! The sides are also good. It was so good that the meat doesn't even need sauce. It's a small place, very limited seating. Best to get it to go. They smoke everything around back. The price is comparable to other nearby BBQ places. We will be back!

In my opinion Joe Mo’s has the best barbecue in Madison county Alabama.
Their customer services is outstanding.
The meat is tender, not salty but with flavor of the meat comes through perfectly.
The sides are great as well!
I recommend Joe MO’s Ba-Ba-Que to anyone, especially those who love barbecue done the right way.
