Main Street Cafe is a charming cafe with a warm atmosphere, despite its slightly worn appearance. The service is consistently excellent, with friendly staff. The food is impressive, with large portions and unique dishes like the Georgia Chicken, which features a peach slice. The outdoor seating area is relaxing, and the cafe offers a variety of options, including a limited children's menu. The historic building adds a lot of charm. Customers enjoy great Southern comfort food, with the Chicken Casserole and Sweet Potato Fries being excellent, creamy, flavorful, and crispy. While the chicken salad croissant and spaghetti were less than hoped for, the strawberry-pretzel salad was very delicious, tasting like strawberry cheesecake. This quiet, no frills cafe offers good home style cooking with steaks, chicken, green beans, yeast rolls, drinks, and desserts, located in an historic area with a quaint hometown feeling. Parking can be challenging during peak hours, but the cafe's unique historical charm and top-notch service make it a worthwhile destination.
