New China Restaurant ( Madison Blvd, AL)

We had take out. Pupu platter, shrimp with vegetables, shrimp fried rice, and pad Thai chicken. We liked everything except the eggrolls on the pupu platter. Neither of us liked the flavor. And we've eaten eggrolls in a lot of places. The flavor was just weird, not very tasty.
All the other foods were great!

I enjoy the food from this establishment however today 6-2-2025 at approximately 4:03pm I witness a young man at the counter who worked there picking his teeth he kept doing it in front of the customers. I thought this was very unsanitary but my food had already been prepared by I hope someone else. The guy didn’t stop there but continued to pick his front teeth with other customers. I had to wipe my credit card off. Though we didn’t have much of a conversation beside my phone number seeing him pick his teeth in front of at least 3 customers was a huge turn off.
Please do better or I will find somewhere else to go.

Very friendly place and the food is very good and fresh tasting.

We frequently order delivery and it always arrives hot, fresh and tasty! It's the only place I go for Chinese delivery!

Absolutely my favorite in the area! Great flavors, excellent service and the prices are fantastic! Highly recommend!

I go out the way to go to this place best Chinese restaurant ever love their broccoli beef the beef is so tender and fresh will definitely be my go to whether out the way or not.

I was very, VERY pleased with my selection, as well as my overall experience there.

Food was horrible, opened the lid to General Xioa chicken and it smelled bad. Chicken had so much breading was hard to tell it was chicken. Sauce was eank. Threw it all away. Place was clean, no one was there. Staff took order but will never go again.

Since moving to Huntsville we’ve struggled to find our favorite Chinese restaurant. We ordered take-out from here. We got home and realized that our order was wrong. We had ordered chicken chow mein (thinking it came with noodles) but instead were surprised to get chicken with cabbage and other veggies. We called the restaurant and explained it. They told us they would call us back. Not even a minute goes by and the manager called us. We explained we had ordered the Chicken Chow Mein and got chicken with vegetables instead. She explained to us that what we got was the chicken chow mein but that if we come back they would be happy to give us the lo mein. We we’re still confused but went with it. Because I was really wanting noodles, my husband went back to the restaurant. The manager was so nice and explained that the traditional 100 year old) Cantonese dish “Chow Mein” is what we got and what they served. Nowadays if you get a dish called “chow mein” it’s mostly with noodles. But they serve the traditional, specifically Cantonese style chow mein.

They were so gracious, kind and helpful throughout our confusion and we learned something new! Service was 10/10. Will be going back.

Was traveling through Madison and saw New China totally by chance. My wife reacts badly to MSG so we do not like trying new Chinese restaurants. However, when I asked about MSG, they volunteered to make our order without any added MSG. My wife did not have any issues!
Many places do not serve combination plates for dinner, but they do.
We both had a combination plates. The portions were very reasonable.
Everything was WONDERFUL!
If we are back through the area, we will definitely be back to New China.

This establishment is nice, the staff are friendly and if you’re delivering for any of the delivery platforms, they are very thorough and make sure you have the right order. (Not many places are like this but they are)
