If you enjoy an industrial brewery feel whilst dining out, this is the place for you. I didn't mind the atmosphere much because we stopped in for a quick bite and a drink, but I wouldn't consider this my date-night place of choice.The service was decent. Our waiter greeted us within minutes of our arrival. Our food arrived in a timely fashion and was well-plated, but our waiter wasn't very personable. He barely managed to crack a smile and seemed to find it a chore refilling our drinks. The food was tasty, the portions generous, and everyone in our party enjoyed their meal.The soft pretzel was a standout for me (oh that beer cheese!), as was the pimento cheese appetizer. Yum! I will definitely come back, but only for a casual lunch.

Old Black Bear has been around for a long time and you can see why. I used to come often a long time ago and I'm glad to see it still doing well.We sat at the bar and the bartenders were very attentive and knowledgeable. They have 10 beers on tap and a good selection of styles to choose from. The beers were good. We ordered some food. It was packed and the wait time wasn't bad at all.I got the Madison Hott Chicken Sandwich with fries. I guess my only issue is that the fries are soggy. The last time I went they were soggy as well so that might just be the way they do fries. Also my chicken was a little dry but not unpleasantly so. The house made hot sauce was really good though and the portion sizes are huge. You definitely get what you pay for.We also had a gift card and that was handled smoothly too. Definitely one of the better places to eat and drink in the area.Parking: There is free street parking in the front and a free large parking lot behind the building.

I came on Saturday morning at 11. I’ve came for dinner and gotten wings and drinks and loved it. The drinks were good, appetizers were good. I got the Alfredo for the first time and it was bland. however after sitting down there were 2 roaches crawling on the wall behind us. We’re trying to get away and the waiter is also scared to kill one so she ran away to grab someone and it disappeared. 10 minutes later Another roach is on our booth seat she sees us getting up again and gave us a cup to catch it. She said sorry sometimes they get in here.. No offer to move us elsewhere or discount for being their exterminator.

Great food but takes forever...and we won't be back because management came to our table and called out the younger kids for not tipping on the card. Very rude...I would advise you to tip or the manager will make a scene ? UPDATE: regardless of the party you do not come and correct teenagers in the middle of a restaurant like that ma'am/sir it's rude regardless...and your tips was low because they paid for their food on a minimum wage as young kids starting off. So regardless of how hard you work and regardless of how much your server comes to you about it...you DONT come a table and in your words EDUCATE...kids in the middle of a establishment about tipping....she should have came to the 3 adults and asked personally...not walking to a group of kids with back up like they are gonna start something when being EDUCATED...DO BETTER...also who ever made the sweet tea tell them to add sugar we in the south not the north!!
