My husband and I live on the Northside of Highway 72, Madison, Monrovia, Harvest area. We had someone recommend PJs Velvet Mocha coffee. So, we decided to give it a try last night we were not aware that they closed at 6pm. We arrived at 5:45, walked in, first time here, we were only one there other than someone sitting at a table. No one offered help, we realized that you order from side, so we walked to where the young lady was counting cash register, she finished counting and then we placed our order. Large Velvet Mocha Decaf with oat milk. I ask her if that was possible for decaf, she said no problem. Our order came up, the barrister came and placed it at the pickup area and walked away. I reached to get it and noticed the size, (one of the other young ladies standing there cleaning) I ask her if that was a large and she reached and grabbed a large cup and showed me, It clearly was a medium, cup had my large label on it but was a medium cup. The cashier came and got it and poured it into a large cup and the barrister went in the back and came out with blender and poured what remained in my cup, I guess not enough because she went in the back and blended more, no apology, no response, very cold attitude from all. She finally brought it back out and set it on pickup counter and I told her thank you and I appreciate it. Still no response or apology for their mistake. We walked out and left. I took about 3 sips, it was a very good flavor. And then my heart started racing. I knew that she had put what seemed like a double expresso in it because of how quickly my hear began to race. Let me tell you, there was not any sleeping going on at my house at all last night. I do not know what happened but my husband took a couple of sips also and he said the same thing and he is a heart patient. I just want you to be aware that if someone orders something decaffeinated, it is not just preference, it could be life threatening to someone that has heart disease. Customer service is so important, we passed almost 4 different coffee shops and across Madison on a Friday night (which is gridlock) to patronize your store. Never again.💔

I definitely prefer Pj's over Starbucks ANY day. Their coffee is great and their beignets are to die for. They now have beignet bites which are perfect for my little ones because they love their beignets almost as much as I do not to mention the caramel dipping sauce. So scrumptious. The only thing is they are a bit pricey I wish they had coupons or something!

Nice service but honestly the worst latte I’ve ever had. So watered down and filled with syrup— no coffee at all. Will not be going back

Burned scone and took 25 minutes to get an iced coffee.

Update:
Thank you for the fast response. You don’t see that very often. These days. We’ll definitely give PJ’s another chance.

The latte’s are good and I like that it can be customizable. The cinnamon roll is only good of its warmed up long enough, which is almost never 💔. Regardless the other things are good like the spinach & feta croissant and the beignets are worth it. The service is okay.

Bought 3 different coffees for 3 different coworkers this morning, all from the menu, no special requests. The total was 18 dollars and some change and they all remain full after the first sip. This is the third time I’ve tried this coffee place because it’s convenient to my work and every time they have given me coffee that was not drinkable. Also don’t order a latte because you will not get espresso, the lady assured me that they don’t consider a latte as an espresso drink. Go to Starbucks. It’s right next door.

I am still in the drive thru. I feel like I will pass here. Tell my family I love them. I would leave except that I am blocked from behind and the front. They've designed the drive thru so that you can't leave without passing by the pay window.

PJ's is fine. The staff are nice. What I like: sofas.
What I don't like: concrete floor, and every chair that drags along it makes a lot of noise. Nowhere really to plug in for power. Cappuccino had too much milk, which is common for an american chain... a proper cafe would have had a lower milk to espresso ratio. A proper cafe would also offer simple syrup. In sum, a normal American chain experience.

A nice little coffee shop, drinks are pretty good, and they have cups that go up to 32 oz.

Fairly pricey, you'll be spending as much here as you would at Starbucks, but they have a different variety of coffee to check out.

We probably will make a return trip, but at the price point it's definitely more of a special treat than an every day visit for us.

Kid-friendliness: There's a couch with a few board games, probably better for 10+ rather than younger children.

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible with an open floor plan. Drive through also available.

I really wanted to like PJ’s Coffee because I don’t care for Starbucks and want to see other places thrive, but unfortunately, their coffee just doesn’t deliver. It’s weak in flavor and leaves much to be desired. That said, I love their beignets—probably the highlight of the menu. However, the sandwiches and coffee are overpriced for the quality, which seems to be the norm for coffee chains these days.

What made this visit particularly frustrating was the service. I ordered two sandwiches and two orders of the 12-count beignets through the drive-thru. When I received my order, the worker asked if I wanted to leave a tip, which I found inappropriate given it’s fast food, and I wasn’t even dining in.

To top it off, they got my order wrong. I was missing one of the beignet orders. When I asked for a receipt to confirm, the worker was visibly irritated, huffing and puffing as she handed it over. After verifying I hadn’t been charged for the second order, I let her know I had actually ordered two. Instead of fixing the mistake, she insisted I only ordered one, essentially blaming me for her error.

Between the lackluster coffee, overpriced items, and unprofessional service, it’s hard to recommend PJ’s Coffee. While the beignets are good, the overall experience just doesn’t make it worth the hassle.

Parking: Parking lot is large with overt of parking, never had an issue

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly if you have kids that know how to behave in public; they don’t cater to kids with playgrounds and toys but they do have a colorful menu

Wheelchair accessibility: The Indio gates is spacious and accommodating to people in wheelchairs

First time at PJ's and dang if they didn't mess up our order. When we mentioned they had made the wrong order she rudely told us we should have read the sticker on the side of cup, wow👌
The beignets were fantastic btw, but if you do get coffee I would recommend the drive thru and just to double check the stupid sticker to see if you got what you ordered.
