We were there and the food was absolutely good. Yes I'm a food critic and everything was on par. We never had to ask for refills from our waiter Carl. Yes the chairs in the bar area especially in the nook area are very uncomfortable. The ambiance is eclectic. The scallops were cooked to perfection, the temp on my steak was absolutely perfect as I requested it blu. I didn't have to explain to the waiter what that means, and no backlash about consumption of rare food items.

Upon entering the building, I felt unappreciated. We had reservations for ten. Online would only take six so we made two reservations. We asked to be seated together but was told the table was reserved for another party. Funny, we were there two hours and no one showed. We had to wait 15 min for the waiter. Then water, yes water, took too long. Food took an hour. The table next to us was served food within 15 minutes. Our party should have left. I won't go back.

Wife and I had the strangest experience about a week ago at Jesse's. We were about 15 minutes early for a 7 PM reservation on a weeknight. The weather was bad so when we pulled up we noticed there weren't many people there. We were seated promptly and after just a couple of minutes, the server showed up, took our drink order and we were ready to order dinner so we did. Our drinks came and we chatted while people watching in the bar area. About five till seven a lady walked in and sat down at the end of the bar, and they brought her a menu, and she ordered a drink. a little after seven they took her food order and by 710 she was eating. we were still sitting with our drinks. About 7:10 PM the server stopped by our table and said it should be out any minute. No problem about 7:25 PM. A manager stopped by and said that our food wasn't ready yet but it should be out any minute at 7:40 he came back and said it should be out any minute. Sorry about the delay. The lady at the bar had finished her dinner by now and we're on her way. At 7:50 the manager brought our food and we asked for boxes because we weren't hungry anymore. He brought us boxes and apologized profusely. They charged us for the drinks and the bread basket that we had eaten. By 8 PM we were out the door with our boxes of dinner, which we threw away the next day. Triggerfish doesn't keep well overnight. Neither The manager nor the server ever explained what the delay was. This experience was very out of character for Jesse's and I'm just going to put it down as a one-off. I'm sure we'll go back there at some point, but we were really disappointed in the lack of communication and the lack of dinner. We are locals who have been going to Jesse since the grocery store went away there.

Went for lunch. The fish tacos were great. Service was top notch. I see why this is a local favorite.
Food was not hot. We ordered a burger and split it. There was a $5.00 extra charge. It was supposed to have bacon on it and it did not. Asked about it and were told it didn't come with it. Later apologized and said it was supposed to have bacon and offered to bring it as a side. We declined because the burger was almost gone. Waiter was new and very pleasant. We will definitely not hurry back.
