In town from Atlanta to attend chef Scott Peacock’s biscuit making class at Reverie, we booked a B&B on the square in Marion. We were famished. The Mexican restaurant recommended to us was closed at 7:30 on Saturday night. But below the mural of Jimmie Lee Jackson, we saw the OPEN sign for the Crab Box. With 30 minutes before closing, we ended up ordering half of the menu, from crawfish bags, orders of catfish, wings, Cajun fries and even the hand dipped ice cream. Since we ordered so much, we had the time to talk to the owner Betty and her children in the family-run business started as a take-out business during the pandemic.Initially, I was concerned we had ordered too much food for five people. But we happily devoured everything we ordered. Everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious.The only thing better than the Crab Box’s amazing food was the quality of service and the hospitality and friendliness extended to hungry out-of-towners from Betty and her children. We are indebted to them for a fine meal.

Just go! Great prices compared to other seafood restaurants. Excellent food. Amazing customer service. Wait was a little long, but more than worth it. We ordered a seafood bag, fried shrimp, and wings. They were all great!
Visited from out of town based upon a recommendation. The cajun sauce is amazing and unlike any other, and I've had a lot of seafood boils. Also, the customer service was excellent. I will be back!
