Enjoyed my dining experience at the Hatters Cafe! I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon and Mac and cheese, and it was delicious! The only complaint I have is I was seated right at the entrance, so there were a good bit of people standing right by my table. But it is such a cute place and my waitress was so kind! And the gift shop beside it is so neat!
This is fun place to visit if you're out adventuring for the afternoon. Mentone is a cute little town! The food here was good, not over-the-top great, but the service was awesome and everyone was super friendly. Definitely a place to go at least once. Order the tea and waffle sandwich, don't recommend the BBQ grit cakes unless you really like spicey things.
Also this place is pet friendly! You can eat on the screened-in porch with your dog! Big plus!!

We visited during our New Year family trip — a party of seven with no reservation — and they seated us in less than 10 minutes. We were given a lovely private room in the back with a view of the yard. Our server was absolutely beautiful, almost doll‑like, perfectly matching the restaurant’s whimsical theme.
