Big Mike's Steakhouse - Moundville

Was served completely undercooked bread. Some of the food was decent. None of it was great. Most of it I would describe as only edible. At these prices, it was a slap in the face. Big Mike's used to be great but I fear it's gone downhill. Doesn't feel like they are trying anymore. Very sad.

Food was on point, service was excellent

The food was really good. We really like this restaurant. However, I'm not naming names, but I wasn't happy with the service. One thing that has always driven me crazy is when someone that doesn't deal well with people chooses a job in customer service. It was like it pained her to deal with, not only us , customers of all sorts. Maybe just having a bad day ? Eeh, another man in line said she was actually being pleasant compared to how rude she normally is. Cheers to her finding a career path not dealing with customers. If tips are any part of your income I suggest you find another career or you start treating customers with a smile and common courtesy. It's not that hard. Besides her rudeness, I recommend this establishment to any and all.

My wife and I just got home from Big Mike’s in Moundville. This is the second time our ribeye steak smelled and tasted BAD! We are not going back for the third strike! We will be going to Diamond Jim’s in the future.

Second Big Mike's location I've tried, big mistake. Said I'd never go back to one in thomasville but decided to try the one in moundville. Service sucked, trigger fish was not good, catfish didn't taste like catfish, and steak was flavorless. Won't return to any of these restaurants again.

Had a 10/10 dinner experience! We ordered the mozzarella wedges, the ribeye with the twice baked potato casserole, and the bread pudding for dessert. I also had the Lovetini to drink which was delicious. Everything was cooked absolutely perfectly and came out quickly. Service was awesome.

My experience was far from enjoyable. I had high hopes for a nice meal, but it quickly became clear that the quality of the food and service left much to be desired.

To start, my daughter ordered the fish, which was unfortunately dry and nearly inedible. When I brought it to the attention of my waitress, her only response was a disheartened “oh no.” There was no offer to replace the dish or even to remove it from the bill, which left me feeling disregarded as a customer.

Despite the restaurant being only about one-third full, I found myself having to ask for drink refills multiple times. It was surprising to see such slow service in an almost empty place.

As for the drinks, I ordered a Lovetini, but it was overly sweet and tasted more like sugar water mixed with frozen puree than a well-balanced cocktail. Not what I expected at all.

On a brighter note, the filet was cooked perfectly; however, it was completely lacking in flavor. It was disappointing to have such a well-prepared cut of meat that simply didn’t deliver on taste. The grilled shrimp, on the other hand, were a complete letdown. They were so overcooked that they had the texture of rubber, making them nearly impossible to enjoy.

Finally, I looked up and realized all of the vents have mold and felt nauseated at the thought of what the kitchen may look like.

Overall, my experience at was frustrating. With the combination of subpar food, inattentive service, and a lack of attention to customer satisfaction, I left feeling unsatisfied.

Kid-friendliness: Its a family restaurant but for the price it wasnt what i expected the steak was good but pot caserole was dry and tastless hamb was served with a large bun that was cold idk we wont be back

Roach crawled up the wall while we were eating.

The food was great. I had been hearing a lot about this place I had to see what all the hype was about and it lived up to the hype the steaks was very tinder. The service was great I had got in right before the dinner rush so got in and seated very quickly. I love the atmosphere in the steak house give you an old country western feel to it.
