Another Broken Egg Cafe

I bring my kids here about once a week for lunch and Carlos always waits on us. He is so wonderful! He’s very attentive, sweet and patient with my children, and truly provides incredible service! Not only is it the best meal my kids eat all week, but we always have a great time too!

Stopped in to the Mountain Brook location on our way down to the beach from Tennessee. Carlos was wonderful, brunch was delicious and would definitely recommend a visit!

When I lived in Orlando I used to dine at Another Broken Egg Cafe in several locations and always enjoyed the food and service no matter which location I went to. I stopped at this location one morning during the week and was totally turned off by the food. Hard to find parking for one thing, then it is a bit cramped with tables, and even though the hostess and wait staff did a great job to serve the food just did not cut it at all. Worse breakfast I ever had!! Maybe it was my selection as it was a seafood benedicts and it really smelled and tasted like outdated crab or whatever it was suppose to be. I won't go back for seconds. Sorry.

This was my first visit to Another Broken Egg Cafe. The food was great and our waitress Cyd was very nice and friendly.

I had a wonderful lobster and brie omelet accompanied by a blackberry mocktail. My server, Devin was professional and friendly. The hostess greeted us warmly. Our table by the window was delightful. Very pleased with my visit and meal.

Stopped in for breakfast/brunch vs eating at the hotel. Great service and great food. Wasn’t extremely busy and got seated fairly quickly and food came out within 10-15 minutes from ordering. Will go back.

Usually has really good food. The seasonal items leave a lot to be desired. The tiramisu French Toast tasted very bland and would not recommend.

Our server Devan was kind.

I was excited to try this place after looking at the menu but the food was super disappointing! The scrambled eggs were prepared soft as requested, but had absolutely no flavor and watery. The grits were soupy and flavorless. I ordered them with cheese and they were still very thin and even after adding salt: a thumbs down. The Monterey Omelette was made with egg white and I’ve had good egg white omelettes before but this one turned out watery and lacked flavor, once again. At this point I was tired of trying the food and didn’t want to complain anymore so I just ate it. The verdict is out on the beignets as of now; I took them to go but it was a LOT of powdered sugar compared to beignets I’ve had in the past. The Strawberry Pound Cake French Toast was good but it’s literally just pound cake with strawberries, whipped cream and hard sprinkles of sugar on top. It’s not like it’s a French toast style rather just cake cut up. I want to give them another try cause maybe it was an off day for them, but I may try other breakfast places nearby first.
