Ok, this is a LATE review but I've been reminding myself to go back ever since! Anyway, my oldest daughter chose this place to have her 21st Birthday Day Brunch. This was back in July. I had never heard of it but I love trying food from new places. It was a small family affair and we all enjoyed ourselves. I wish I could remember our waiter's name because he was just as awesome as the cocktail that he suggested I try! The food was good, (please try the chicken salad sandwich)) and the atmosphere was comfortable. I walked out full & buzzed! It was a good time! Damn, now I'm hungry!

I went here for brunch and was seated relatively quickly. We placed our order and proceeded to wait on our food for over an hour. We actually never got the food! We decided to leave after watching every table around us get their food, eat, pay, and leave. I watched folks sit down 45 minutes after us, order, receive their food, and pay all before we decided to leave. Our waiter came up to us after 40 minutes of waiting and apologized for the delay. (This would have been better around 20 minutes in.) Needless to say we won’t be coming back.

We had the pleasure of being served by Carlos at Another Broken Egg Café, and he absolutely made our breakfast experience unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, Carlos greeted us with genuine warmth and a friendly smile that set the tone for the entire meal.

What really stood out is how effortlessly bilingual he is—switching between English and Spanish with ease, making everyone at our table feel comfortable and welcome. That kind of attentiveness goes a long way and shows how much he truly cares about his guests.

Carlos was attentive without being overbearing, always checking in at the right time, keeping our coffee full, and making sure every detail was just right. He has a natural way of connecting with people—he doesn’t just serve you; he makes you feel valued.

The food was delicious as always, but Carlos’ professionalism, friendliness, and personal touch made it one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. If you get the chance to visit, I highly recommend asking for Carlos. He turns breakfast into a five-star experience!

Honestly, this place is overrated. The food is cold and mediocre and so is the service. Ruby Sunshine or Big Bad Breakfast are all around better food choices. Don't waste your time going here

I’m not a big breakfast guy, but this place blew me away with its unique and delicious items. I do have to warn, the food will have you full for the rest of the day. One cookie dough waffle (my favorite) was like 1000 calories.

We visited on Mother's Day, it was quite busy. The food was great; pancakes, grits, and turkey sausage.

I went to visit the Broken Egg in Birmingham (Homewood) as I have visited some before in other cities. Today's visit was the best over all the others they staff even though busy was welcoming and pleasant. Our server Madison was attentive and accommodating. My food was amazing (Bourbon Banana Pancakes) my husband had a sparkle in his eye when he tasted them. Overall I was pleased and would recommend and visit again.

We had a breakfast date at Another Broken Egg Cafe, and overall it was a really great experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the place was spotless — you could tell cleanliness is a priority here. Service was perfect from start to finish: attentive, friendly, and quick without feeling rushed.

Grim ordered her eggs over hard, and they did come out a pretty runny, which was the only small hiccup in the meal. Everything else, though, was spot on. As first-time customers, we were treated to a complimentary half order of beignets, which was such a fun surprise and a sweet way to start the morning.

Overall, the service and presentation more than made up for the minor egg issue, and I’d definitely come back again. It’s a great spot for a cozy breakfast date, especially with little touches like the beignets that make the experience memorable.
