What happened to this restaurant?? I was extremely disappointed from all my previous visits. It has been a few months with being out of town,but the food was disappointing as the atmosphere. Bacon not hot,city grits looking orange and dry. Bread tasted old and orange juice was not orange juice just colored water. Staff holding personal conversations in front of customers. Joking and playing with manager in front of customers. No host present when you walk in. You wait then after a few minutes someone comes from the back. Where is the STANDARD?!?!?! I have seen more discipline and professionalism at McDonald's..... this is far from what I am accustomed to at this restaurant. Extremely disappointed

I’ve been coming to this spot for over 10 years. I was out of town and went to one and enjoyed it and was like why doesn’t Birmingham have one. Simple google and we did. I love how the menu changes with the seasons. I love your spring, summer and fall menus the most.Today I had a pitcher of Blueberry Lemonade mimosa, with the Lemon Pound Cake French Toast with eggs and chicken sausage. I also had to get a serving of city grits. I enjoyed my food and the atmosphere as always. My waiter was a sweetheart and she did an amazing job. This is always a go to bunch spot for me. It’s literally close to everything in the city.Parking: Parking is on a busy street with extra parking across the street. There are a few spots that are for short term parking. The flow is good. I’ve never taken over 5 mins to find a spot and get to the door.

Absolutely.First we got seated in a timely manner.From here goes down hill:Waitress took about 10 to 15 minutes to come to our table.We gave her our drink order and she then said do you know what you want to eat.Didn't think much to this there were a lot of tables and she most likely knew based on the time that she took we would know.Note: when ordering many tables had potatoes even after we sat down and when other orders where coming out while we waited.We ordered three plates:After already over 20 minutes only two orders came out and we were told the chicken for my daughters meal was still cooking.1) Crab cakes Benedict: waitress said with grits and I said no would like potatos she said they were out. I looked around and thought okay maybe they ran out. No other tables still got potatoes. Ordered city grits instead: could not find the cheese and tasted just like green onions nothing else. When the food arrived we all smelled it and not the yummy smell a gross is this crab good smell and was cold. Tased a very small piece and was like.... Tasted a bigger bite and gagged could not eat the food.2) my daughter said her hashbrown Benedict (name maybe wrong) was cold but okay enough to eat. Her fruit was fine.3) I could not eat and my other daughter's food still had not come. Waitress never came back to our table the entire time we were there until my daughter asked a question. The waitress after now over 30 minutes came and said they are still waiting on the chicken. Mind you we can see the other tables ordering and receiving food. Saw two that had chicken. She said she was also an assistant manager and she could offer a discount for the issue. I said I will take her somewhere else and she said okay.There was another table and the little kid could be heared saying they do not like the food.The waitress did take my daughter's meal off (we never got it) and gave other small discounts. We still paid 70 and change for cold late food and tip. That was two meals 1 unetiable that after I walked out I threw the to go box in the trash outside their door at the light and 3 drinks. Yes I checked the receipt and can take a picture of it.Reason I gave two stars to service was because the waitress does not cook so cannot put that on her. However, her lack of making sure the food was correct, and given in a timely manner, and just over all let me check my tables was horrible. She also took the meal off and tried by giving discounts. We all have bad days so still tipped 20%The food was disgusting and cold.Sad my husband travels for work and has eaten at many of their other locations. This is why we tried this one.Atmosphere was weird and awkward not vibrant and lively like others.

I've visited this location multiple times and had phenomenal food and service, but today, my poached eggs in my eggs benedict were nearly hard-boiled, and the beignets were overcooked and hard to bite

I have visited Another Broken Egg multiple times and have never had a bad experience. This is the first time I visited this specific location and pleased to say everything was still the same as the other locations. This time I tried their cinnamon roll French Toast with bacon and eggs. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The wait time was about 10 minutes for me and the staff was very polite and checked to make sure I didn't need anything. The restaurant itself is very clean and you can choose to dine inside or outside. Overall I recommend this place to anyone that loves a good breakfast/ brunch spot.
