I ordered the salmon lettuce cups and it came out with a BUG on the plate, not to mention the piece of salmon was covered/dripping in cooking oil. Sent it back for a second try. The second time, lettuce came out covered in dirt that i could rub off with my fingers and I found another dead bug on the lettuce. The salmon and lettuce were both covered in oil (worse than the first time) and the potion size was what i child would eat (roughly 3oz salmon and 3 cups of lettuce, 1/4 cup of slaw).I understand things happen, but this is unacceptable. I notified the waitress, who did not seem to care much.I have dined here before and it has always been “okay”. I will not be returning here.

Definitely one of my favorite lunch spots in Birmingham!
The food is amazing! The manager that helped me with my larger group order entry was amazing. The guy that helped out to my car with the large order was amazing. However, I took one star off because the lady that handed my order off to me needed...a hug... But the food is so stinkin' good and the order was 100% correct so hard to fully complain about one person that was having a bad morning.

After ordering the Blackened Salmon and grits, I asked if a side of brisket was possible. Yes. Yes, it was and melted in my mouth. Splurged on a Laphroaig neat and felt like a lady lunching. The main was seasoned and prepared to a ridiculous deliciousness. I was treated with patience, professionalism and kindness. Thank goodness I was oblivious of the bakery... next time.Parking: It is Mountain Brook... I had no problem parking a chonky pick up. I'd allow time to park if on a schedule.
