The waitress was alright not talkative at least not to us. The fried pickles had more seasoning than the fish. The fish was bland no taste the chip-cut fries were greasy weren't good either.

Second time eating at Char Bar 7 in Birmingham. Food is very good and came out in a timely manner. Our server was very attentive. Highly recommend the Club sandwich or filet, both were tasty.

Made a reservation for Fathers Day. We were seated immediately. Server was prompt, food was prompt. The food was fine, nothing above average. Appetizer portions were small, plated oddly in a way that highlighted how little food there was. It wasn't a bad experience. We had never eaten here before and I had hopes for a nicer meal and experience for my husband.

My husband had to ask the server for his beer after it was not delivered as well as his salad. It was odd as everyone else in the party received their items. The filet was VERY undercooked and sent back.

There's nothing special about the Charbar. The food was average at best and the parking was absolutely horrible. I feel like to charge the prices the Charbar does they should have great food, something memorable.

Neat place but it was very hot inside. Steaks were overcooked and they were out of their chips. The sides we had were good, the waitress was good at keeping us refilled. It was a busy night so that contributed to being out of things I am sure but the temp inside the restaurant made it unpleasant.

We loved everything about Char Bar except our service was severely lacking. Our server rarely checked on us, was rarely able to even be seen and we could not get anyone else to stop so we could ask for assistance. I'll go back in hopes of better service. Everything else was awesome.

Char Bar 7 is a great lunch spot. Unfortunately, our dinner date just wasn't great. We were sat next to the side door and it was left open just about the entire time. It was a cold night so it was uncomfortable. We asked our waitress to close it, and she did but that didn't last long. She told us we could close it on our own (not in a rude way, just being helpful) but we didn't want to spend our dinner closing a door. Our salads came after our meal and my salmon was undercooked. Luckily, my husband loved his meal!

My wife and I had a nice night out on an anniversary trip. The atmosphere was comfortable with nice neighborhood bar feel. Meal of steak was good. My ribeye was perfect but my wife's filet was little grisly. Good service.
