Dyron’s is absolutely amazing. I’m from Florida and had been craving some red snapper. I could close my eyes and see Florida while eating this dish! My husband got the ribeye. Our waiter did forget our salad appetizer we ordered but when he brought out entrees instead of our appetizer, we didn’t even care to mention it because they were SO beautiful & truly delicious . We even got some extra biscuits to take home. I can not wait to go back!

Our server Chris was exceptional and Aaron behind the bar did not disappoint (but he was raised right). Everything was so tasty and you can tell the kitchen was not afraid to season the food well. Put this on your "must visit now" list immediately.

2.14.240. We could not have had a worse family experience at an upscale restaurant. I took my family out to Dyrons for Valentine’s Day and understanding we have a young child I made early 5:30pm reservations so we wouldn’t be a disruption for couple coming in around 7pm. From the start, there was a cold reception even though 5+ waitstaff had nothing to do but talk amongst themselves. Our waitress greeted us and asked if we wanted anything to drink so we asked for waters for the 5 of us and to cork the $300 bottle of wine we brought in that was special to our anniversary. 10 minutes later she brings out a corkscrew and proceeds to break the cork. She runs off to the back without saying anything and brings back a decanter with our wine and pieces of cork everywhere. At Helen or any other nice restaurant in Birmingham they would have offered to decant the wine from the beginning and would have brought someone older than the wine we were drinking to properly open the bottle. From there, it only went downhill. It took 30 minutes to get water and we had to leave our seats to ask the waitress who was standing in the back corner talking to her coworkers which seemed to be the theme of the night. 45 minutes into the night we had to ask another waitress if we could take our order because our waitress was nonexistent. The only good part to the $250 dinner was thankfully the food. However, there are hundreds of restaurants we can go to for delicious food but would leave with a bill 1/4th of the price. We pay for a meal like this for the food, SERVICE, And EXPERIENCE. Unfortunately, Dyrons failed at 2/3 of those. I can’t explain how POOR the service really was and how rude our waitress was but we have no interest in ever returning with the amount of great choices we have in Birmingham.

Dyron's has the right stuff - a friendly and not snobby hostess that actually "takes care " of you - a top rated friendly bartender - and the servers are very knowledgeable and attentive - no hiding out. This is what makes a restaurant great. And fabulous food does not hurt.Update 11-30-23: We dined at Dyron's again last night. Great waiter and fabulous food - it's always a fun place to go.
