The service was great. Taste wise the best thing we had was the queso. However the drinks are so good you have to try the TX and the Fruit margaritas đš đ

Simply the best. I ate here after sports growing up. My mom and I had a waiter there who was the spitting image of Jim Carrey. So many memories of this place. My Paris born son looks forward to the cheese dip every time we come to Birmingham and we brought his French best friend here last week. He, of course, loved it too! We had a lovely Mexican waiter who was so nice to the boys! Thank you La Paz for staying the same. Please donât ever change. You are an institution.

The food is so good! Customer service was great too!
Been going here for 20+ years. Really love the food. Worst service Iâve ever had here the other day, and family members reported the same within the same week. In between lunch and dinner: ran out of salsa and chips when we still had cheese dip. Asked person who brought us our food for more, were told weâd have to ask our server. He sure didnât tell her we asked, because she wasnât seen for 10 minutes. Never offered a drink refill. Waited 15 minutes for check.
Always a wonderful experience. Food excellent
Weâve made a weekly trip to La Paz part of our regimen. We love the location (Euclid Ave), we love the combination fajitas (the finest Iâve ever had, anywhere!), the Santa Fe enchilada is great with an egg on top, their quesadillas are SO tasty and full of what I want in a quesadillaâŚmore importantly, the dipping sauce is divine; the street tacos are a âgo toâ for some in my familyâŚwe eat here A LOT but the BEST part of the whole thingâŚ..wait for it
THE QUESO!!! Unmatched anywhereâŚI donât what it is that sets it apart, but if youâre looking for a truly great experience from appetizers to being fullâcome on to La Paz!

âď¸âď¸âď¸ I ordered delivery from La Paz last night and was excited to try their street corn and shrimp street tacos. The food arrived fresh and tasted delicious. Well, at least after I discovered I am one of those unlucky people who think cilantro tastes like soap. Once I picked it off, everything was great. Unfortunately, I woke up this morning with food poisoning symptoms. While I cannot say for sure that it was from this meal, it was the only thing I ate that evening. The flavors were on point, but this experience has made me hesitant to order again. Hoping it was just a one time issue because I really did enjoy the food!
Disappointed with the service after talking in depth of my gluten Allergy (celiac) the waitress assured me most things could be made gluten free with little to no crosscontamination.
Outcome she still served me flour tortillas and the rice that she already made a point of saying was NOT gluten free.
Two bites in i had to ask if the tortillas were the corn they dont tast right. When brought up she just walked away and sent a manager over to speak for her. Who just said " sorry but hindsight there's nothing we could have done. " I'll take it off the bill.
I corrected her and said alot could have been done including Number 1 simply checking the dish and the allergy alert b4 leaving the kitchen.
They never replaced the tortillas and ignored the table for the rest of the stay which only made things worse.
Thank God for the lovely conversation of my companions to not entirely ruin the afternoon as I went to puke repeatedly in the washroom from being poisoned without care by my server. Thanks đ

Great service. Seats were available without having to wait. I can't say that I have noticed all the extra taxes that were added to the bill. AL SPECIAL Tax, Liquor by drink tax. I enjoyed my meal!

Been eating at La Paz since they opened. It gets worse every time. Waited 20+ minutes to get a beer, at 5:20 p.m. place was empty, waited 25 minutes to get food and it tasted like canned Dog food. Queso dip was so over spiced (I like hot) it was horrible. Waitress was very nice and incessantly apologetic. Almost went -0- tip because it is the last time I spend $185. on dinner for 4 adults & two children and have inedible food. Truly bad !! Only saving grace , I will never go back !!!!
