First time dining here and I really wanted to like it. I was so excited to try the food here, but unfortunately was very disappointed.
The ambiance outside was very nice but the food really needs improvement. As an appetizer, the guacamole does not taste well with the sweet plantain chips it comes with. The mussels didn’t taste fresh but instead tasted dirty. It was very difficult to even eat. The churro for dessert came out cold, was hard and had an aftertaste of cleaning products. The plate i was served with was also chipped. Service was just ok.
Really hoping management takes advice and they improve their food and service.

the food was good and my waitress was very sexy and hot but when i tried to write my number to give to her on the paper napkin she refused. she was rude and lied to me about having a bf when I checked her FB account it said she is single. i also did not recieve my employer discount for working in the same shopping centre. if this is how u run ur business then no wonder your hiring! soy y luna? more like soy y merde!
Went for my birthday lunch! Was so excited! The food was cold and stale tasting
The quesidillas were hard and stale, the tacos were cold
So disappointed
Wondered why we were the ONLY people there on a Tuesday for lunch
This is a nice place to meet folks for a protracted evening of grazing, or to figure out where you REALLY want to be.
Small plates are just that. If the space were a little more inviting it would be, well, more inviting. Concrete floor, open ceiling, lot's of varnished wood and windows looking over parking are the stark reality.
There are some meh moments on the menu and it's easy to get too many cheese / tortilla combinations but it can be fun and good too. Know this.
I think if the management would ease in some actual Tapas items the market is here. Now it's a fine line between Cheesy/Greasy Mexican and a precious upscale attempt. We go fairly often, but mainly b/c it's close and friends suggest it.
Fridas, La Paz, Mexico Lindo, Heck- Taco Mama - all have SOME of this menu already. A Tapas menu would differentiate this place...I would absolutely go much more often.

Fantastic spot. We had queso with chorizo, salad, beef flautas, chicken chilaquiles, and the steak item with jelly (that was not my favorite—nothing wrong just not my style).
Service was impeccable--very friendly and prompt but not obtrusive. Drinks were fantastic--go here.

This is THE place for tapas in Birmingham. There is nothing like their duck empanadas. Melt in your mouth with the perfect amount of cheese and pickled vegetables to break up the richness. The staff from the hostess to the back waiter, everyone, were so kind and attentive.
Lastly, the atmosphere here is perfect for an intimate date night.

This place is such a gem! The drinks are top notch and all the dishes we tried were fresh, creative and perfectly prepared! Totally recommend asking for a platter of different entrees and splitting everything! Definitely too good to just pick one! ?
I wish I took pictures of our dinner and dessert… but was too busy enjoying it!

It is always interesting to visit different parts of the country. The food and service were fantastic! Atmosphere? We sat at the bar and Hailey was engaging and had great recommendations. The atmosphere/clientele was interesting. I would not let the lack of social etiquette dissuade you from visiting this establishment. They had a wide varieties of tequila and tapas. Everything was delicious!

Excellent service and Spanish American food and a very nice staff, the location is very convenient for people in the area to walk to, and the turnaround time for a table is fairly quick, it's nearly unbeatable, the price on the food is cheaper for the part of town you'll find yourself in, I would highly recommend giving them a look, this locations service way beats the one located in Avondale..

Dinner was so good last night. We went for my husbands birthday with some friends. Food was fabulous, drinks were great and the service was awesome! Shout out to our server Omar! 💯% will go back!
My husband and I have dined here many times and love the place, so we decided to invite my brother and sister-in-law to celebrate her birthday. It was just excellent!!
First, the restaurant is beyond beautiful with the murals, decor, tiny ceiling lights, etc. We started with cocktails - Paloma (I always order this and it's the best in town), Ranch Water and a tequila neat. We shared the Sol y Luna Sampler, which is guacamole & pico de gallo w/ interesting assortment of chips - so fresh and delicious!
For dinner, I ordered the grilled salmon w/ garlic mashed potatoes while my brother got the cantina house salad topped w/ grilled salmon. Both were excellent. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sear on the outside and so moist inside. My husband and SIL shared the Gambas al Ajillo (the cooked garlic in olive oil w/ red pepper is outstanding!), Shrimp Diabla on a bed of mashed sweet potatoes w/ crispy potatoes, and Red Snapper al Mojo de Ajo w/ shrimp and an amazing tomato & onion sauce and all this came with baskets of bread to soak up all those flavors. As you can see from the pictures, each dish was just beautiful. And, each of them tasted amazing (I was lucky enough to get to sample their dishes). The seafood was not overcooked and each tapa was so unique and flavorful. In addition to the delicious drinks and food, the service was excellent. The hostess made her rounds throughout the night to check on customers and our server took great care of us. The owner, Jorge, was also very attentive, periodically checking on us and helping to make my SIL's birthday very special.
So, based on this as well as our previous visits, I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed. We will be returning soon!!
