I finally tried the hamburger today it's fairly new on their menu and it was fantastic, it was cooked after I ordered it and didn't take long at all! Really excellent quality beef! I'll definitely be ordering this

We always get flavorful, fresh food at Urban Cookhouse. The local mix salad with grilled shrimp is a favorite of ours, along with the grilled veggie quesadilla. We've never had a sandwich disappoint us either! Great food, friendly servers, casual atmosphere.

I sent a message to corporate. I am requesting to speak with the owner of this Urban Cookhouse. I placed an order for the first time and decided to cancel it. I contacted the store and was greeted with nasty, disrespect and yelling by someone who claimed to be a GM. I asked him to provide the owners name he refused, asked to have the owner contact me; he refused and he refused to return my money. I even asked for clearer directions to potentially come to the store and he refused. I refuse to eat food from an establishment were the “GM” has the right to speak to me as if I am his subordinate.I have contacted this store through the Urban Cookhouse website and still have not received my refund from Neil Patel. Neil I want my refund, I called in a timely manner to cancel and your manager degraded and disrespected me. I a believing you condone this type of behavior because you have not apologized nor refunded my money.

I was expecting a sit-down type experience, so when I walked through the door, I was a bit disappointed and my expectations dropped. I was pleasantly surprised when they brought my salad out and I saw the quality of the ingredients and the care that went into the presentation. It was a great tasting salad and I will definitely eat here again. It’s a great option for when you want quality food but are short on time and need it fast.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. TERRIBLE SERVICE . For this to be a southern owned company the hospitality is pathetic. I was traveling from out of town and a friend of mine suggested we try this restaurant. We ordered online and arrived to the store and they told us they did not have our order. We thought the online order went to the Tuscaloosa store but instead went to the mountain Brook store. We figured this would be a quick fix they could just change our order to the Tuscaloosa location. No they would not transfer the order or even refund us our order. They would not even refund our tip. Probably one of the worst restaurants in the south for hospitality and kind employees.

Ordered a quesadilla & to the horror there was not a drop of cheese on it . The girl who took the order then later bagged it up, adding sauces with no gloves etc, was horrid. It took far too longer than it should have & it was not edible. We were also skimped on our sides. NOT TO MENTION MASSIVE LEAK ABOVE COUNTER TO PAY AT/ pick up. The clueless teen/ millennial did NOT EVEN WARN ME! NO WET WARNING SIGN. MY $600 suede shoes took drips due to lack of proper restaurant protocol. They will be hearing from me. We will never eat here / support this sad establishment again. We are done. Leave Mountain Brook please.

Food is usually pretty good but atmosphere and staff friendliness have really plummeted. Random boxes are everywhere, open trash cans are sitting out on the floor, and staff always make you feel like an intrusion.

After seeing my hair stylist, I was starving. I wanted something I hadn't tried before. I didn't want to drive out of my way as I headed hone. Trusty Yelp yelled "urban cookhouse". For some reason I want to call it urban Cowboy. Anyway, I pulled over and made an order online. When I saw that my order would be ready in 15 minutes, I stopped for gas before heading over to pick up order. Everything was ready except the milkshake which was in process. That was ok since I was assured it hadn't been sitting around. I had the lime-marinated steak and rice dinner. It was really good. It was two meals for me. The orange roll was ok nothing to rave about though. The vanilla milkshake didn't really have much vanilla flavor. Of course, maybe my taste buds were off since I was coming off the meds from Covid. I'll have to give it another try with the roll and shake when my sense of taste gets back to normal.

I ordered online at this location and literally pushed the order button and saw it was wrong location and called this location to have a rude person after I had explained the situation tell me they were the manager and the couldn't refund my money for a order I couldn't get. Said the were already making it . There is no way that was happening!!! I will never order here or will I ever come here and I will make sure everyone knows that a individual owner of this one as the manager put it has separate rules and there would be no cancellation and refund of money!!!!!
Great food. Just enough to fill you up. Everything we had was good. Had the down home. Delicious. Would be nice to have one in indiana. Thank you. Gal at counter was very pleasant

Spectacular service. Great guacamole. I am not a fan of cilantro, it's loaded on almost everything on the menu. It was very loud, hard to hear the server.

We have ordered many lunches from here for our office at the Nomberg Law Firm. The food is always delicious, the service is always timely and the staff is super friendly. Definitely recommend visiting here!

This place is great! We got the Local Mix salad and the Pepper Patch salad. Both were yummy, but I definitely would go back for the Pepper Patch salad. I added steak to it and the steak was delicious! The restaurant was clean and had lots of indoor and outdoor seating.
