I ordered sesame chicken and house fried rice on side. Unfortunately the rice had no flavor and it was the same for the chicken besides the over abundance of sauce. The spring rolls also taste like soap?

We are new to the neighborhood and, after eating here several times, the food is consistently lackluster. Prices are more expensive and the vegetables in the entrees are less in quantity and in quality than other similar restaurants that are very nearby. Most recently ordered here again as our preferred place is closed on Saturday night, and decided to review because it's just....disappointing. Even the wonton soup, broth and wontons, taste off.

This place is a hidden booger in your nose. I really like this place because it has a East Coast style. The rice is magnificent and the customer service is excellent. If you try a dish, try the sweet-and-sour chicken with a sauce on the side and you can’t go wrong with the sesame !

Horrible horrible horrible female that works at this place. I order here a lot! I always always request extra condiments like soy sauce and duck sauce. If this female had to give it to you then forget it I have decided not to come here again. I’ll just go to Chop Suey. The food there is great and they will at least try to honor your request. I really don’t have time to request pack by pack of soy sauce. If you want 2 extra pkgs this trifling female will make you do 2 requests. If you want 4 extra pkgs then get ready you gotta ask her 4 times for more. Don’t get me wrong it’s not just that but I do think if they get rid of her then all the better. I order too much here to go back and forth with her!!

I literally just stopped by this establishment and saw the guy on the phone through the mirror came in and he went straight to the back without greeting me or taking my order. When I looked over the menu and was ready to order he straight ignored me!!! When I got back in the car and sat outside he came back out. Just disgusting and rude as hell. If you don't want to take any customers order close the restaurant!!'

THE. BEST. Chinese food in Bham. Lots of these negative reviews have nothing to do with the food - if you want absolutely delicious Chinese food this is the place to get it. Szechuan chicken is my favorite.
Good food and fast service. The cuisine was pretty on par with most other Chinese food places. The egg roles are huge! I definitely recommend getting the appetizer sampler platter. I was a big fan of the chicken on a stick and the cheese wontons! I ordered the chicken with vegetables, with a side of fried rice. The food was good -- but there weren't a lot of vegetables in the dish, almost as if they were an afterthought. Overall -- it was good -- and definitely a good deal. Plenty of leftovers! Will definitely try more foods from Wok Express.

I gave them 1 star because the Hot n Sour soup was good. The General Tso chicken is mostly breading. The Kung Pao chicken was awful and the fried rice was tasteless. On top of all that it is overpriced. I don't like wasting my hard earned money.

Not my favorite in Birmingham, but my favorite in this section of the city. The people are warm and polite. The food is hot and fresh. The location is easy to get to, and even has indoor dining if you prefer.

Ordered from DoorDash delivery for lunch, pretty great so far, the fried rice was yummy, gobbled it up and the lemon chicken is great but the lemon sauce needs a bit more thick, almost like glaze and it's a bit sweet, balance it out with some tartness with extra lemon juice, love lemon chicken with a bit of both, tart and sweet, balanced out, it wouldn't hurt if you add fresh lemon slices to it too as garnish.... Otherwise, I enjoyed it and will definitely order it again, hoping they make the sauce a bit tart also...
