definitely worth the drive. I was just on google looking for a place to try we never been to. I am disappointed that we haven’t found it sooner. I had chicken livers with stewed squash and purple hull peas, everything was perfectly seasoned. Except for I did put hot sauce on my peas.
Tammy had whole fried catfish (she always get the whole fried fish when an option) with fries and a salad with some really good hush puppies. They had a big selection of desserts in the case but...
This was my second time to eat here and the food was very good and the lunch special that includes a drink is a real value. The only slightly negative comment would be the wait time after ordering was around 20 minutes each time. The best restaurant around!
The atmosphere was nice and the service was friendly, but slow. The prices were reasonable but the portions were small. All in all, we didn't regret our visit, but next time we will try somewhere else.
