The first time I went there the service and atmosphere were great! Two weeks later I bring my neighbor, who happens to be black, and I got hostility was very uncomfortable. Great place if your looking for that 1950's southern touch I suppose. To their credit they weren't flying a Confederate flag so I gave them an extra star

Great establishment! My family and I have always had wonderful service here with delicious food and a very courteous staff. I am very confused about the negative reviews. This is a privately owned business with owners who do not live in this town and therefore are not in anyway associated with any political drama there. I hope they continue to have success in Newbern. Growing up in this area I know the importance of these business to the rural areas and communities.

A horde of lawyers will soon know the first and last names of every resident in town and will be on speed-dial of the majority with free services to sue his supporters into oblivion for any wayward comment, look, or action that makes anyone feel remotely uncomfortable. They will be rich via civil suit soon. You literally have 20 lawyers for every resident in town available now. Put a stoplight up because LA is coming to you : )
Unique place. Good burgers and barbecue! Sometimes brisket which is my favorite. Can even get an old fashion thick fried bologna sandwich. And Cream soda!
