Captain D is a lot better than it used to be but I just received my meal. The bread was ruined because they placed it in the box where the juice from green beans soaked it. The corn was old. It was terrible. I ordered a $4.59 dessert and was charged but never received it. I tried calling them after I returned home but no answer. Hopefully they will fix it but I don't want to drive another 40 minutes to get it tonight. The service was good though. The lady was pleasant when she took my order. The fish was very good. The loaded potato was old, and the cheese was melted on the foil but not the potato. But I could tell the potato was old and not fresh. I paid $22.09 for one meal and only ate less than half.. please do better.

You have 3 olympic style employees holding the fort down here in 3/11/24 @5:52 p.m. Very busy but they are doing an unbelievable job with great attitudes. You don't see this very often but someone should recognize them for their hard work and great attitudes. I might hire these guys myself. Good to see a crew like this. When you arrive at around 5 pm to order and they are out of shrimp, sweet and sour sauce and no 5 dollar bills so you had to pay exact price or use a credit or debit card. The young girl on the register taking orders was overwhelmed trying to explain and offer substitutions. The cook/manager had to come from the kitchen to the front and take over and help cashier. I will say they all seemed to keep their calm and did not get rude or upset with anyone ordering or picking up call in orders. A number of customers had to call to discuss substitutions because they were not told over the phone when ordering. I ate my order of fish and chicken inside. Was interesting I nothing else.

My husband and I stopped to get our late lunch. The young man who took our order was very pleasant. Our food was made to order and was hot and tasty. We had a very nice experience.
Visited this location today to order the ten piece fish meal. By the time I drove all the way home and started eating it looked at it and to me it looked like chicken and it was kind of pinkish like undercooked chicken. I called and told them that I had received chicken instead of fish. I was told that it was some new type of Japanese fish. I wish I had known in advance that the recipe had changed because I wouldn't have paid $34 dollars for something that made me nauseous after eating a small. Piece.

Updated review, for the second time one of my plates was entirely missing hush puppies, the second plate was suppose to have extra but only had 3 even though I paid for extra. I will give them another try at a much later date.

captain d’s is starting to become my go to restaurant in pell city. it is in downtown pell city and i have been here 5 times in two weeks and each time they are very consistent. my last visit they had gotten my order with sauce (i had ordered without) and they were more than happy to fix it and i appreciated that. i dined inside with my mom as well and everyone seemed to enjoy working there. my only complaint is the scarce drink options but that’s just me. love the cajun sandwich!
The food here has always been pretty good. The service is a bit unfriendly and extremely slow. You will sit in the drive through a good 20min so have the extra time if you want to eat here.Kid-friendliness: ?
