Had a GF lunch date a few weeks ago. We came in late lunch and was going to be seated by the service door which Im not a fan of so we asked if we could have another seat. She seemed right away little odd apparently she wanted us to sit in he rarea which I get it was her turn but we were told she had to clean a table so just go back to the door and wait lol SO we stood by the bar mind you there were several tables avail but just not her area . SO then she goes to a couple and starts doing something with them which is taking pretty long time and then goes to the counter again doing whatever. SO I asked do we just need to headout. We just came to enjoy a little girl time. So I wsa like cant we just sit at the open table where she then very much with the same attitude says yea but thats no her section. Well we did just that. Again I understand they split patrons but after 15 mins I think we had a little bit enough of a wait. Soooo I have to say the sweet lady that then took care of us was the best. We didnt have and empty glass and she was very tentative. Had a little hiccup with the fish but it really was great flavor and she had the Potatoe which was huge and BBQ as well was good. That was my first trip so definitely will visit again.

The menu has changed, the prices are high , tables were not clean and floor was sticky. I was really kind of afraid to eat there, but I gave it a shot anyway. I was unable to eat some of my food...ie...the cole slaw, it was like eating straight out of a mayo jar. I'm afraid we won't be supporting this local business in the future. I have cleanliness concerns which laid heavy on my brain as I was trying to eat lunch.

Took forever to order at drive through, $27 for two pork salads, I guess you have to pay extra for fork and napkins. Bring back Golden Rule!!

Food was pretty good! My first time here. I had the rib tips and salad with smoked turkey. It wad a lot of food and took half home. Meats were very tender and favorable. I really enjoyed it. Service was great!

January 18, 2024. Worst meal we have had out in a long, long time. We had 2 small bbqs and large onion rings. The bbq meat was not hot, barely warm. The buns seemed to be from grocery store, small and cold. The sauce was terrible, tasted like ketchup with brown sugar and vinegar. The onion rings seemed to be from the grocery store ( generic, not name brand) and not cooked through. We ordered water to drink and received it after the food arrived. The water however, was fine. We do not recommend Pell City BBQ and Grill. We will surely miss The Golden Rule!
Chopped pork plate covered with an overload with sauce. Texas toast was steal and hard. The service was really great with the waitresses.

Used to be Golden Rule BBQ. Food was better at that time, not as good since the change. I give restaurants 2 tries just to see if it was an off day/night, it wasn't. Wait staff was pleasant, food subpar, atmosphere same as previous named restaurant.

Me and my husband stopped to eat walked in they said be right with you we waited and waited there were two ladies by register cutting up and we still waited we got fad up and left this was rediculous and the restaurant walls were bare and the atmosphere was not good I was there on dec 28 2023
