My co-workers and I stopped by Jim ‘N Nick’s on a busy Wednesday night for our monthly team meeting, and despite the crowd, everything was fantastic! The place was buzzing, but service never missed a beat. Our server, Megan, was absolutely outstanding — friendly, attentive, and always on top of things even with a full section. She made great recommendations and made sure our drinks were always full and our food came out hot and fresh, exactly how we ordered it!

The barbecue was delicious as always (the brisket sandwich and cheese biscuits were perfect!), but what really stood out was the level of service we witnessed at not just our table, but others around, too.

We’ll definitely be back soon for our next team meeting — and we’ll be asking for Megan!

The food was great, as usual, no complaints there. But our server, thats a different story. He was rude, and had a smart mouth. I asked for a go-cup for my drink when i gave him my drink order, he asked if I was leaving, and if so there was the door! All 6 of us were shocked.
I was on the end of the table, so he handed me everyone's drinks & food to pass down, so I basically was our tables server! Everyone kept saying I should get their tips since I was the one serving their food. Needless to say it wasn't an over all good lunch experience.

Great food and always friendly service. Also... I accidentally left something valuable at the restaurant recently... the manager found it and reached out to me to return it. I'm so grateful -- God bless her! Visit J-n-N's!!

Jim ‘N Nick’s used to be my favorite BBQ chain. I’ve been disappointed at the direction in the last few years. This last visit pushed me over edge. The portions have gotten ridiculously small while prices have gone up. Even though it wasn’t that crowded, I barely saw my server. Also, and I’ve complained about this to local JNN managers for years: the straws don’t work for the Peach Tea. Get bigger straws: it’s cheap, easy and it keeps customers satisfied.

Great Bar-B-Q place in Alabama. Had to wait about 15 minutes for a table despite there being plenty of open tables. My guess is that they were short on staff. The food was excellent but service was a little slow. At the end of our meal I wanted to order the banana pudding (it’s delicious by the way). But despite staff walking past our table when it was clear we were done we waited over 10 minutes for staff to come back to our table. Overall when I’m back visiting I’ll eat here again.

Wish I had the chance to even try the food.. We had a dog and asked for a table outside, after calling to check that we could bring a dog. When we arrived, we were told there was a 15-20 mins wait but were never asked for our name/phone number. While waiting outside, we ask a waitress and she said she’ll tell the host but never reported back. After waiting 20 mins, I go in and ask the host. They take my name/phone number and I get a text that I was on the waitlist. After 10 mins, I get a text that I was removed from the waitlist, which I thought was strange since usually they text that your table is ready. I go to ask the host and they said that means a waiter is otw. After another 10 minutes of waiting, we left. I’m not sure if there was a miscommunication or what, but after waiting at least 45 mins, it wasn’t even worth it.

I guess shrinkflation is still a thing! I ordered pulled pork plate with two sides! First off the plate was huge and made everything on it look even smaller! The two sides came in bowls that were halfway filled! I saw other plates with the same bowls that were running over the top! The food was delicious just didn't get what I thought I paid for!

Food is blah. We were pretty disappointed overall. Corn biscuits are way too sweet. Cole slaw has kale. Mac and cheese was bad, both texture and taste. Pork was dry and took so much sauce to enjoy. The chili was a bit too Smokey and sweet. Would not visit this chain in any other city after this experience.
