Took my grandmother for Queen’s Tea and we loved it! Over 100 loose leaf tea options and we tried at four during our visit, all were delicious. The scones were fresh and delicious! Yummy finger sandwiches, quiche, and desserts. The whole visit was so nice. The whole place was decorated for Christmas and the proprietor gave us the history of the house. The tea was really excellent served hot and they kept on top of service. We were a little nervous about the obvious work being done to the house when we pulled up, but trust me this place is worth the visit.Food & drinks: Started with house salad and quiche, both were delicious. We had the Queen’s Tea, each sandwich was different and really worth trying. We really loved the fresh scones with lemon curd. The best was the tea though which was served hot but drinkable and since it was bottomless you could try different blends. They even sell tea in the gift shop.

We had a great outing to the Smith-Byrd Tea Room. The house was decorated for Christmas, so it was very cozy and warm. The selection of tea is expansive, and the food was tasty. A lovely way to spend the morning.

Located in Prattville’s charming historic district, this tea room was a delightful place to spend the afternoon and made a lovely location to host our small gathering! The service and food were top-notch & the Monk’s Blend tea was the most delicious I’ve ever had. Beautiful teapots/ teacups and charming seasonal decorations were among the lovely adornments. The husband & wife owners and other staff were so kind and patient with us, including with my inexplicably fearful one year old. We enjoyed looking through the gift shop and hope to return.

Very disappointed. Drove an hour to get there and was told it was by reservation only. Google took me there with no problem. Did not look like the pictures on the website so I was not even sure it was open until some ladies walked out. Was meet at the door by a gentleman that made it clear I was not welcome unless I had a reservation. So I went to Fox pizza and had a great meal.

Beth and David were warm and welcoming, without being intrusive. Our room was clean and comfortable. The included breakfast of fresh fruit, hash browns and eggs Benedict was as in a gourmet restaurant. Beth even brought us a pot of delicious herbal tea at bedtime. Highly recommend this place-

Whenever I have to go to the area for work, I always stop to get me some tea. They have a very large selection so you are bound to find something that you would like to try.

Its a must. Perfect place to go for two,a large party and even just by yourself. Its perfect for any vibe like special occasions, catching up, routine hanging out, or a place to take a break and have a bite to eat.I loved everything they served! Its so yummy. I personally recommend getting the salad and quiche together because they balance eachother out perfectly. Best quiche I had, as well. Their food is perfectly balanced in flavor. Not overly sweet,nor salty;very fresh tasting as well. My baby loved the sandwiches and moist scones,too. The hotel definitely makes their menu with intention and love;which I believe why it tastes delicious.Its definitely a beautiful layout that is pleasing to the eyes but the flavors are the winners.They have a galore of teas to drink that are described perfectly on the menu so they all were a hit for me.We just went for the tea room experience and on our way out enjoyed their cute gift shop,walking out with a few goodies.Must visit. My best friend of 50 years and I have a tradition of eating at Smith-Byrd House every year to start the Christmas season. It is something we look forward to and the food, atmosphere and people are wonderful!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Smith-Byrd House. Beth and David are friendly hosts who care about their guests. We enjoyed sharing breakfast with them. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and breakfast and tea time were delicious. If you're visiting Prattville or Montgomery, I recommend this B&B.
