I hate fried chicken but MAN, SRC hits different. Not greasy, perfect texture, flavor is beautiful. Staff is sweet and always has smiles. I normally get the burger because it just hits the spot every time!

If you are thinking of ordering their VERY EXPENSIVE Turkey and dressing for holiday catered meals DO NOT DO IT. The turkey is a pile of fake deli sandwich meat , sliced like you would get in a sub at a sandwich shop. There is no real roasted turkey. Lazy. What an insult. Do better. The dressing is tasteless.

This place is terrific from the food to the people to the service - all 5 stars!!! We went for lunch and each got a plate of daily meat special and veggie sides. Meat options change daily, but the fried chicken is every day and for good reason, it's excellent! Their smoked cabbage, corn nuggets, and fried corn were all delicious. Vegetable sides change daily, too. For dessert we went with the sweet potato pie, the chef's grandmother's recipe. It was so good and not too sweet. You can tell it's made with real sweet potatoes, not canned. The service was fast and friendly, with a family atmosphere. Ranks right up there among the nicest experience we've had lately. There's a drive through window and dine-in area (not fancy, but just right for a breakfast or lunch stop). And this place is clean Tables, bathrooms, and floor, which is always a good sign. For quality home-cooked food this is definitely worth the extra 5 min drive away from the endless strip malls and chain restaurants of Prattville off of I-65. Bonus is it's locally owned so you're supporting the community.

Nieves worked with us to make the perfect menu for us and our guests.They also had bartending services and cake cutting services for us as well! Drive thru is operational! I Ordered Catfish, honey pepper chicken, green tomatoes, and macncheese & cole slaw. Catfish and chicken is DELICIOUS. The Catfish taste fresh, was meaty, was seasoned itself, and the skin was perfectly seasoned and crispy..green tomatoes was garbage looked fried in fish grease and had too much cornmeal. The macncheese was not good, it taste like Velveeta and extra garlic powder. Cole slaw taste exactly like captain ds coleslaw. The honey in the honey pepper chicken is not overbearing, it compliments the old school fried chicken that she has, it's really good. I ate the chicken and Catfish without any condiments. The sweet tea is good, more on the unsweet side than crazy sugared down, perfect balance. &The to-go plates are good quality for warmth & transport, no spills or sweat & the food was still warm/crispy.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch. We got the honey peppered chicken and the meatloaf. Everything tasted outstanding and the portions was enough to feed me twice. The service was great and the restaurant was very clean. 100% recommended.

I had the fried catfish fillets (only available on Fridays) and they were delicious; lightly battered in corn meal and served up crispy and hot. I chose Cole slaw and corn nuggets as my sides. They were equally delicious. The server was friendly and attentive.
