Possibly some of the best BBQ IVE EVER HAD...After a trip to my daddy's hometown of Ralph to bury his sitter at Bethel Baptist, other family members said we HAD to eat here, apparently they are kin.. Man was I blown away!! Absolutely so good it hurt! And I topped off my day with Dreamland In Tuscaloosa and man this was BETTER! Proud to have hit a Ralph institution and enjoyed it immensely...wish I could mail order some of y'all's sauce!!!!

We were on our way south and there was a wreck on the Interstate. So I started looking for places to eat when I found this BBQ place. We stopped and enjoyed the pork BBQ plate.

One word.... PHENOMENAL! Truly a hidden gem. We all ordered the pulled pork sandwiches & shared baked beans, potato salad & a side of fries. Everything was delicious & I am by no means a potato salad fan but found myself going back for seconds. The pork had just the right amount of smokiness, perfect amount of sauce & the bun did not fall apart! Make the drive, this place is worth it!

Needed lunch on the way from Ohio to Biloxi. Found Robertson via Yelp and it was the highlight of the day. Great BBQ pork sandwich. We also took home a bottle of sauce. Love supporting local business! And it was obviously a popular place locally too. Yes it's in a gas station but that's part of the experience! Saw multiple catering pickups while there too. Just a great all around lunch and friendly place. Well worth the drive off the highway! Thanks for the great T-shirt too!

Great food! Worth the side trip, only couple miles off the interstate. Just a gas stop as well, its gas station too. Had the wing plate, large portions and great flavor.

Excellent! My hubby had pulled pork, lima beans, and fried okra. I had the small pulled pork sandwich, slaw, and baked beans. Oh.My. Everything was wonderful -- I was sad when it was all gone because it was SO good! Don't let the gas station exterior deter you from enjoying this local establishment. It's definitely worth the 5-miles-off-the-highway drive. We LOVED it!!
I have been to this place many, many times, but honestly have never thought to review it since it really isn't in "Tuscaloosa". Located about 20 miles southwest of Tuscaloosa is another fine example of great southern barbeque coupled with great southern hospitality. Renee Robertson does a fantastic job. This is a little old country store and gas station like you see on any Alabama backroads. It still operates as a station and store, but has a restaurant located in it too. The barbecue is great, tasty and moist, and the sauce is actually my all time favorite. Anything with the pulled pork or chicken can't go wrong. They also have great old fashioned hamburgers. All of this is coupled with some if the friendliest, down-home folks you'll ever meet. Worth the drive from Tuscaloosa if you want great barbecue.

It's in a gas station, but don't let that fool you. It is a BBQ restaurant that happens to be in a gas station, not gas station BBQ. We had pulled pork sandwiches, slaw, potato wedges, and baked beans. Loved it all!

Staff is great. They are ready to help you upon arrival. The food is great, and it is a buffet style of serving your self. The New Year meal of greens, black eye peas, steak cube, and chops, and okra with cold iced tea. All of this food for under ten dollars. I would recommend.
