Robertson BBQ is off the beaten path and is in an older, beat up gasstation and honestly, I think this adds to the overall atmosphere and ambiance. The staff here was friendly and engaging and I can say that both the woman at the food station and the woman at the checkout were great. The customers were also friendly. This place had a great vibe. I ordered the chicken here and for my sides, I went with the potato wedges and onion rings. All were excellent. Prices were in line with what you would expect. The half chicken with two sides was somewhere around thirteen dollars and a large iced tea was I believe two dollars and fifty cents. Robertson BBQ is just about ten minutes off of the highway and it is definitely worth the detour. All in all, Robertson BBQ is a fantastic place for barbecue and I would definitely recommend it and I will give it five stars.

This bbq restaurant and carry out is in a gas station but don't be put off by that. The food is delicious and plentiful! The service is friendly. It is mostly a busy take out but there some tables. The food is all types of bbq, fresh veggies and hamburgers. Desserts are offered as well. One thing this family owned business was involved in recently with the community that experienced a bad storm and many people were out of electricity. Robert son's provided free meals to the area.

We took a jog off the main highway to easily reach this place that lives up to its excellent reviews! My succulent, smokey bbq pulled pork sandwich was even more delicious with my side of sweet, crisp cole slaw added on top! The potato logs were so scrumptious on their own or drenched in the house bbq sauce! My husband bit into his phenomenal burger and said, "This is what burgers in the fifties must've tasted like!!". Suffice it to say, he loved it!! So glad we stopped and we can't wait to come back!

Possibly some of the best BBQ IVE EVER HAD...After a trip to my daddy's hometown of Ralph to bury his sitter at Bethel Baptist, other family members said we HAD to eat here, apparently they are kin.. Man was I blown away!! Absolutely so good it hurt! And I topped off my day with Dreamland In Tuscaloosa and man this was BETTER! Proud to have hit a Ralph institution and enjoyed it immensely...wish I could mail order some of y'all's sauce!!!!

Second year - just as good as last year! COVID friendly as carry out only with everyone distancing in line and wearing masks. We ate on a bench in the parking lot since we were on the road and not local. Worth the trip off of 59 to experience some great BBQ and support a small business. Bought 2 bottles of sauce to take home too. Will be back again for sure. Need to try the pie sometime but we were so stuffed we couldn't eat another bite.

One word.... PHENOMENAL! Truly a hidden gem. We all ordered the pulled pork sandwiches & shared baked beans, potato salad & a side of fries. Everything was delicious & I am by no means a potato salad fan but found myself going back for seconds. The pork had just the right amount of smokiness, perfect amount of sauce & the bun did not fall apart! Make the drive, this place is worth it!
Great food! Worth the side trip, only couple miles off the interstate. Just a gas stop as well, its gas station too. Had the wing plate, large portions and great flavor.

Excellent! My hubby had pulled pork, lima beans, and fried okra. I had the small pulled pork sandwich, slaw, and baked beans. Oh.My. Everything was wonderful -- I was sad when it was all gone because it was SO good! Don't let the gas station exterior deter you from enjoying this local establishment. It's definitely worth the 5-miles-off-the-highway drive. We LOVED it!!
