The name is what attracted me. I mean, how many bait shops serve barbecue. Food is served out of a food truck and the old guys doing the cooking are sitting right there by the smoker. As you'd expect, the whole establishment is right there on the water by a boat launch. One of the buildings is even built on an old barge. All the seating is outside under a covered patio. The whole thing is an indulgence in rural Alabama, and I love that. The pork had a smoky flavor and the sauce had a mild spice. The slaw was my favorite item, creamy and cool with something that gave it just a touch of funk. Baked beans were pretty ordinary but did have a rich, earthy note. The onion rings were battered and served hot and crunchy on the outside, soft inside. It's just off the interstate so it's easy to get to. This was a fun lunch and great detour for our day.

Best bbq ever!
Best burgers around! Made when you order. Love their barbeque as well!Call ahead & pick up for a boat ride. They also do large gatherings. The nicest & friendliest people!
Best BBQ on the lake or anywhere else
Great to have an option to grab a bite to eat when out on the boat. Called ahead and our order was ready when we arrived. Support local.
Best polish sausage around and very personable. Buck doesn’t meet a stranger
