I wish I had taken pictures. The food was great and deserved a picture. Great place to eat with an awesome view. It's a little bit of a drive off the main highway, but it's a State Park full of wildlife so that's to be expected. We went for the seafood bar and weren't disappointed.

We were camping in he Park and decided to go to the seafood buffet on Saturday night. First off my husband and I were extremely sick that night. I left there feeling miserable. First off the scallops were so mushy. They had been sitting in a steam pan in water for who knows how long. The fried shrimp was really the only tolerable thing there. My husband had the boiled shrimp and he said it had no flavor at all. The fried fish tasted like it had been there for a while. The apple cobbler was good. And this buffet was not cheap. Service was OK no complaints there. The food was just not well maintained.

Went for lunch on a Thursday. The buffet wasn't available, but the food was excellent and freshly made.

We were hesitant to eat here for dinner at the Seafood buffet based on reviews, but were pleasantly surprised. We did come early in order to get home for baby bedtime, so maybe that’s the trick to getting fresh food. We loved the fried shrimp and the chocolate dessert. We didn’t care for some of the things on the buffet, but most things were good. For a buffet restaurant that was convenient to our stay at the park - we really enjoyed it! Service clearing tables looked like they were struggling. We also enjoyed eating breakfast here, and would eat here again for our next stay at the park.

. The chicken was tasty and the cornbread. Their salad appeared to had been served for lunch and not refreshed at 6:00. They did replace their cobbler but, I didn’t care for it.
My husband had prime rib.
Who wants prime rib with fries, a day old salad, apple cobbler? Just saying. I’m not going back.

I have never been so sorely disappointed. I’m not one to leave reviews, but the lack of quality was not worth the price. Along with that, they weren’t even serving what they had listed on the menu as they were missing many of the sides. Go somewhere else for your seafood where it will be better and less than $28 per person.

Tried to go there for Brunch on Sunday. The hours say on Sunday 7:30-2:30 on their website, and on the door of the lodge. We get there at 10:15 after an hour drive and told brunch does not start until 11am and were sent away. Disappointing. Won't be back.

Daniella’s RestaurantJoe Wheeler State ParkRogersville, Alabama 3562Nice addition to the State Park and Resort property and very convenient. Seating area overlooks the lake and the views are very peaceful - sunrises with breakfast & coffee; or sunsets with a cool beverage are breath taking. Restaurant Staff were friendly and very attentive.Because of the time of the season, food choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner were either the buffet or limited menu items. Our Server did offer to personalize our orders - so that was an option. Personally, we are not much on buffets and we thought the value and the price of the breakfast buffet was a bit steep for the quality of the food and limited selection. Same with regards to the dinner buffet. The evening salad bar was nice and well stocked with a good variety of items, to include shrimp. The Chicken Wings and French Fries were tasty, as was the Shrimp dinner. Food is not of the best quality in relation to pricing, but understandably with the location inside the Lodge.Having the option for restaurant style food on site at Joe Wheeler State Park and at the Resort is an attraction. Big Plus and consideration when booking a stay - we did take advantage during our stay and when we come back, will definitely have a meal or two at Daniella’s.

First off I will say that the wait staff was great but very disappointed with the food- nothing was good except the raw shrimp and fried fish. Food had been cooked a while and left in warmers, which made most of it hard. PRICE OUTRAGEOUS for this dining experience!

Didn't expect such good food or service. Waitress very friendly and efficient. The sweet potato fries were the best ever. Got a steak and cheese sandwich, was very good. Definitely want to stay at the Lodge, knowing the restaurant is so good.
