First time at Waltons, food was so good. Cajun smoked catfish with side salad and baked potato was all delicious. Needed more cajun seasoning but the smoke on fish was great!
Also had cajun grilled chicken fingers and they were so tender. Enjoyed fries and hushpuppies, too.

Went for dinner. My sandwich did not have the correct condiments. I ordered a side order of green beans to take home. The green beans came out on my plate. The green beans "to go" were finally brought out - the container had approx. 2 tablespoons. After dinner, we were in conversation & a COCKROACH was crawling on our table. I crushed it with a napkin & gave it to our waitress. No apology was given by the waitress or management. Horrible experience.

This is probably my favorite restaurant in Alabama! We ride everywhere and love to try new places to eat. Everything here was fresh and delicious! Those hush puppies alone are a good reason to come back! So many places we go anymore has mediocre food and outrageous prices. Both here were excellent. We will definitely make it a point to come back here

I won't give any details about me personally but I will tell you this: The food is some of the best around and Ronnie and Lois (the owners) are the most amazing people. They care, they really do, and you don't find it many places. Always, always let them know (they are almost always there) if something isn't right and it will be fixed.

Walton's feels like you're sitting at Grandma's kitchen table.
I dined here with my grandfather for his 92nd birthday.
The staff was so friendly and patient.
The menu offers the traditional southern cuisine at very decent prices.
I ordered from the daily specials board.
You can get a meat and 2 vegetables for $8.95 or a 4 vegetable plate for $7.95.
You can't beat the prices here!
The fried chicken breast was golden, crispy, tender, and juicy. The fried okra was crunchy just how I like it. The lima beans were seasoned to perfection.
The cornbread muffin wasn't my favorite, but they offer rolls or Mexican cornbread as well.
My dad and grandfather thoroughly enjoyed their fried fish, fries, slaw, and huspuppies.
They also have a wide variety of homemade pies like possum, pecan, Key lime, coconut, etc.
If you're looking for southern comfort food, then Walton's should be your next stop for lunch or dinner.
I hear they have the best fried chicken livers, but they were out the day that I visited.
I'll be back next week to try those. ;)
Vegetarian options: There's a variety of vegetables to choose from. The day I visited they had purple hull peas, lima beans, pinto beans, turnip greens, fried okra, fried squash, cream corn, green beans and so much more.
Parking: There's a free parking lot at the restaurant with plenty of spots.
Wheelchair accessibility: They do have wheelchair accessibility. I saw 2 wheelchair ramps.

So the large Ribeye was actually less expensive than if I'd bought it from the grocery store, and I would have had to cook it.
