We came from out of state to an event and came to Granny's just as they opened on a Saturday. The staff is very welcoming and courteous. We were invited to peek at the hot bar or order off of the menu. Hot bar had fried chicken, baked chicken, and ham with sides. Everything looked very fresh. I had red neck nachos off the menu and in addition to it tasting great, the serving was huge. We had an appetizer sampler and all of the veggies were fresh, again very generous portion....
This was a meal like you just stepped into Granny's kitchen on a Sunday to visit. There is no menu on Sunday. Get in line Choice a meat, fried chicken, baked chicken or ham, choose 2 sides, a good southern verity. Add a roll or fried cornbread. Plus, we ordered a salad bar to our meal.
We arrived just after Granny's opened. Good thing this place gets busy. It was a nice drive and worth it for a delicious meal.

We were passing through on our way home from Florida and stopped for lunch. My wife had fried chicken and I had pork barbecue. Both were excellent and a insane bargain. The menu apologized for raising prices, but this was the best deal we had all week on a meal. If you want a good meal, stop in to Granny's if you are going through Samson, Alabama. You won't be sorry.
