This is my guilty-pleasure doughnut shop. I gave "atmosphere" 5 stars because it's pretty bare-bones - who needs atmosphere in a doughnut shop? Frou-frou just raises the price, and who hangs around to eat their doughnut(s) in the shop? That's what cars are for. I favor the custard-filled and the apple fritter. Just right. The people behind the counter are always nice.
Out of all my travels and having lived in 3 states and 2 countries, these are literally THE BEST donuts I've EVER had. Family agrees. Their filled donuts are very full of the filling. They don't skimp. The maple glazed donuts topped with bacon are outstanding. They have a good selection and I've never had a bad donuts there. 1000 times better than Dunkin or Krispy Kreme, hands down. Note: I've only tried the Saraland, AL location. They're a local chain...
