I ordered the poblano pepper. It is hard to find it cooked authentic at alot of Mexican restaurants, in an egg batter, with meat inside. It was amazing! If you haven't tried this, you should!! I was asked if I wanted refried or charro beans. I had never had those so I didn't chose them, but she gave them for me to sample when I showed up to pu my order. They were so good! Also, the guacamole is a must. I got that after reading all of the rave reviews. Definitely my go to place for Mexican, best around in the shoals!

Been coming here almost every week since opening and have never had a bad meal. Food is always delicious, quick, and hefty portions. I've tried most of the menu and have never regretted anything I've ordered. Everything here is amazing. Sergio puts a lot of love into his work and it shows. He makes it a friendly atmosphere and knows most of his guests by name. Excellent in all areas, 5 stars all around

Awesome restaurant. Walked in and was seated by the owner who was very friendly. I ordered the food he recommended. Started with the guacamole, I also ordered the birria tacos, and shrimp and grits. I could tell the guacamole was freshly made in house and full of flavor. The same could be said about the shrimp and grits and birria tacos. Everything was full of flavor. Highly recommend Sergio's.

This evening the opportunity to try Sergio's again was presented after a family outing to the Christmas Cantata at Sheffield Methodist. Well, the experience was personal. Our server Yesenia offered to turn on the TV and find a fireplace video on YouTube then dim the lights just to make it cozy. The entire experience was exceptional, and I look forward to visiting again.

The food was delicious! I had the shrimp ala Mexicana, chock full shrimp the flavor was mild with a nice after taste.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. Everything taste fresh and satifying! Will be visiting often, next meal will be shrimp and grits; heard it rich and full of flavor!

My husband and I were absolutely delighted with Sergio’s. Everything was flavorful and delicious. We ordered the guacamole with the salsa and it was an amazing start to our dinner.
We ordered the shrimp and grits with the sausage and it was absolutely amazing. We also had the birria tacos which is one of my husbands favorite and he couldn’t stop raving! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants great food and service. Sergio’s is the place to go!

Just as in the name, Sergio's serves true authentic dishes. Everything I have ordered is perfectly cooked and delicious, and his homemade guacamole and salsa verde are to die for. We continue to choose Sergio's again and again, and have yet to be disappointed.
