Sergio’s Authentic Mexican Restaurant

Love this place!

Sergio’s is the sweetest and yummiest spot in the area. The service and food are top notch. Sergio himself greeted us and recommended some of his favorite dishes (the Birria quesadillas, guacamole, and charro beans). We ordered what he recommended and he was absolutely right…they were SO good! We had the nicest and most attentive waiter as well. We will be back! Thank you Sergio!

Sergio greeted us as we entered. He is very friendly and has suggestions to help you decide what to get. He is passionate about the food, and truly enjoys bringing your family a good meal. Excellent food and service. Memo was very kind and waited on us. Such a great place to eat.

Everything is fresh made daily! Best shrimp and grits I have ever had even compared to the coast! It’s a local dive but the food is out of this world! A must visit if you’re around!

This isnt the fanciest restaurant in sheffield but they do have the best menu of mexican food in the Shoals. Guacamole is unlike any other.

My wife and I decided to try this place out for dinner on our way home from Florida. Man, was it ever a great choice! This place is as good as a Mexican restaurant can get. Everything from the food to the service was fantastic.

Let me start off by saying Hispanic food is my favorite type of cuisine. I cook it often and eat at many establishments in the shoals area. We have great restaurants here. With that being said there’s a new #1 in my Restaurant Power Rankings and that is SERGIOS!!! From the start I knew this place was going to be legit. The salsa was brought out in a chilled glass jar. You can tell it’s made fresh in house. The chips are homemade. A man I can only assume is Mr Sergio himself made DANG SURE everything was good. He made thoughtful suggestions and I truly believe he gets great joy by seeing satisfied customers. We got the birria quesadilla and it was delicious. The consume soup was rich and flavorful. The charro beans are made with conecuh sausage bacon and jalapeños. I could have ate a gallon of them. I cannot recommend this place strongly enough. Sergio’s is simply the best

Hands down the best Mexican food I've had anywhere in the Shoals. Food was hot and fresh with amazing flavor. Our server was really nice and told us about some of their signature dishes. The owner also came out and talked with us. He gave us some of his chunky guac and even tho I'm not a guac fan it was delicious. We will definitely be going back.

This place is definitely my go-to for late night food and drinks. Will be taking a group of friends here for a regular venue visit. I'm always greeted walking in the door and wished a good day leaving as well. The owner is one terrific man; always making sure the food is fresh and customer's fully satisfied. Do yourself a favor and visit. My favorite is the shredded chicken chimichanga!!

Kid-friendliness: They sell alcohol, but children are in and out with they families, it's never posed an issue.

The food was delicious fresh and well seasoned. Sergio was super friendly and came over and talked for quite a while. Can’t wait to go back
