I had to take a moment to shout out Mrs. Marilyn at Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen—she truly made my day!
From the moment I pulled up to the drive-thru, her energy was warm, welcoming, and genuine. It’s rare to come across someone who not only does their job well but clearly enjoys making customers feel valued. Mrs. Marilyn was patient, attentive, and made sure my order was absolutely perfect. Her positive attitude turned a simple food run into a great experience.
In a world where customer service can feel rushed or impersonal, Mrs. Marilyn stands out. She represents what excellent service should look like—kind, efficient, and full of heart. Popeyes is lucky to have her, and customers like me definitely notice and appreciate it!

this place was damn disgusting! Stopped there on a trip on the 15th of February. No toilet paper or towels in the restroom, the trash can was hanging out from underneath of the drink machine and very very short handed. Smoke coming out from the kitchen as the fries were burning in the fryer and WORST OF ALL, out chicken was undercooked and foul tasting! Took about 2 bites, spit the 3rd out and left our meals hoping to not get sick later! Never again.....

We arrived at the Popeyes in shorter Alabama at 7:30 on a trip back to Atlanta. They had the dining room blocked off and we asked if it was OK if we sat and ate our dinner there. The cashier said they were getting ready to close the inside. Since the door said they were open till 10 o’clock I wondered what time the inside closed she said 9 o’clock.?? So we ate our dinner in our car. The food was great. The service was horrible. What the heck?

The lady at the front counter was very rude. She did not know how to ring my order up.. And gave me attitude and start talking under her breath. i definitely would not be going back to this location

My husband and I stopped in on 11/18/25 @ 5:41pm. We ordered the 10 piece family meal. The young man that took our order was on it! No waiting, very well mannered, he was awesome. The young lady that got our order ready was the same! Both were friendly, well mannered & on their A game! The food was fresh, the chicken, the biscuits & fries were the best we have had at any Popeyes & we are in a semi from coast to coast. The restaurant was clean, no dirty tables, no overflowing trash cans, no nasty floors.. everything was spot on! I wish I knew the young man & young ladies names because they definitely deserve a raise! I can guarantee that the next time we are driving through Shorter, AL we will be stopping in for some food!
