We travel from Santa Rosa Beach Florida for Nates. It was a “find” several years ago, and were we lucky. We usually sit at the bar and watch while we wait. That grill is constantly full , oysters constantly being shucked , wait staff going from table to table with a smile. The food is great, people are great and that is why we keep coming back. We went on Saturday before Mother’s Day . It was busy but there were empty tables . A server seated us and left to go back to her other guests. We waited awhile and a nice lady came up and took our order . After that it took awhile and a few tables were also waiting for their meals. The food is good but not enough choices on sides and no dessert. It could have been cooler in side . It looked like only two air conditioners were on to cool a big crowed room . Don’t let the small town fool you. This is a big city taste. More food than you can eat at good prices. Excellent atomsphere, great service, friendly people. Like coming home to a home cooked meal. Don’t pass it by you will regret it. Can’t say enough about how excellent, first time visit will be back.
