Very quick service and beautiful atmosphere. Chips/salsa/queso are all very good and the chicken is seasoned very well. Rice was slightly bland but not bad at all. Delicious and not pricey at all!

We love visiting this establishment. They are always so friendly, the service fast, and food is so good. I love the chicken palmera meal, rice topped with chicken, bell pepper, onion, and cheese. It is super yummy. Their sweet tea is really good, too.
I highly recommend eating here, and while you are here, visit some of the local stores and antique shops. We have a friendly lil town. There is an ice cream shop a couple of doors down that you can get dessert. 🙂

My plate was hot, but the food was warm at best. The food wasn't good.
The refried beans were mushy and tasteless as was the rice. The chips had an old oily smell and not very tasty. The stuffed peppers 🌶 were okay at best.
Very disappointed 😞

Bit into a chicken fajita. The grizzle in the meat ripped my tooth up with the worse pain! I sitting here now providing this review in frustration and anger because I’ve eaten here many times. I notified my waiter and the amigo behind the register. No apology. Defended their meat. Acted like I was trying to get something for nothing. Actually asked me “to find the bone”…I wish I could have!
I will struggle this weekend until I can get to my dentist. They’ve lost a once loyal patron. Never again. By the way, I still tipped 20 percent. You’re welcome.
Real authentic Mexican food. Great service.
We came upon this hidden gem in Springville AL, The people working here are authentic kind people. The food is so delicious and being from Texas I’m used to amazing Mexican food and this place is as good as any I’ve tried. I can’t wait to come back. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I'm a native New Mexican who lives in Alabama. I order fajitas or tacos in Mexican restaurants in Alabama. I can't expect sopaipillas, hatch green chiles, good cheese, blue corn tortillas. Every restaurant has to use dreadful cilantro. (ICK!)
So, in order to eat with friends at their favorite restaurants, I eat a lot of fajitas.
La Cabanita's are GREAT! Many restaurants don't bother to spice their fajitas. La Cabanita does and they taste perfect. They serve huge helpings too.
I love the atmosphere. It is a fun place to eat. The servers are super friendly. They don't understand New Mexican food at La Cabanita but I always get a good meal, kind and professional service, and great ambience.

Decent Mexican for the price
I got 2 hard shell tacos with rice and beans and both of the taco shells were very stale, and hardly had any cheese on them at all, maybe a pinch at most. They gave me like 3 spoonfuls worth of rice as well. Chips were good though.
The meal was $8.99 but when I went to go pay my bill I gave them a $20 and got $2 back. He then shows me it says $17.99 on the bottom for whatever reason (didn’t get cheese dip or anything else besides a water), but he did apologize and gave me the correct change. Not that $10 is a big deal or anything but they will try and rip you off if you’re not paying attention.
Used to love this place as a kid but the more they change owners the worse the food gets. I think we all miss the original Del Sol.
