This was our first time eating at this location. I came at opening time and spent almost $20 on a dozen donuts/ one apple fritter. Definitely was not worth the price! None of it tasted fresh! These were the worst donuts that we have ever attempted to eat. Not a single person in my family finished their donuts. I'll never eat another donut here. But I might be back to try the shaved ice.

The floor as well as the entire store doesn't appear to have been swept or cleaned in a month. The staff (one person) didn't know where anything was like she had never been there before. The display case isn't big enough for the trays of food and is open in the back allowing flys and other things full access. I can't believe this place has a 91 health rating. Must have been done by a blind person.

Daylight donuts does not open at 6am on Tuesdays. I checked their Facebook page (they do not have a website) and on Google, both showed that they would open at 6am. I waited but no one ever even entered the building, all lights were off and no cars in the parking lot. I understand life happens but at the very least they could have made a post on the Facebook page and/or put a note on the door.

One Sunday morning in June, I purchased four dozen donuts from Daylight Doughnuts in Sumiton. The owner's sister was working the store for the day, and there were more donuts than I ever get to choose from! I complimented her on offering so many choices with so many donuts!!! But I think it should be this way every day, instead of offering a few random donuts for each type.

I’ve shown up here on several occasions in the morning and they never have coffee. How do you justify a doughnut shop not having coffee at 8:30am? The lady always tells me they’re out. Doughnuts are also cold and then popped in the microwaved. It’s a dinky, sad little place, so don’t waste your time here.
